OK, if this is a harbinger of things to come, it is going to be a loooooooonnnnnnngggggg winter.

DS (5YO) just finished 10 days of Augmentin for a double ear infection and 'slight' pnumonia.

We went away last weekend, and on the way home, DH started feeling crummy. Well, 4 days later, he finally goes to the doctor, and he has SEVERE pnumonia and is on antibiotics, an inhaler, and codeine laced cough medicine. If he is not MUCH improved by Saturday, they are admitting him to the hospital.

Oh yeah, I more than likely have strep. They will get the culture back tomorrow.

*sigh*

Anyone wanna come over tomorrow morning and bring Ian to school? I promise not to breathe on you.

Yikes! :( Hope you all feel better soon.

Look at it this way, you are getting the illnesses out of the way EARLY and it won't interfere with the holidays. ;)

And oh yeah, I would think about FLU SHOTS too! :teeth:

Oh my!!! What a group you are!! Sending tons of get well PD all your way! I do hope you all are feeling better soon!!

Yikes, flu shots would probably be a good idea.

Get well.

Definitely sending lots of pixie dust to you!! I hope you all feel better soon!

DS gets a flu shot every year because he is prone to asthma induced bronchitis.

My job started giving them to us last year for $5, and you can bet I will be signed up again.

Hubby is another story, this might push him over the edge though.

I am not sure when this year's batch is ready, any of you medical folks know?

Maybe you're just getting it all out of the way early and you'll have a happy healthy winter!!!

Feel better soon!!!!

REST too!!!

Ugh! Sorry to hear about all the ick. :( Cam has been out of school for two weeks because of our trip... I just talked to the receptionist yesterday. She has a terrible cold and said a huge percentage of the student body was out with it and now the flu was beginning it's onslaught on a couple of the classrooms. Great. What a thing to come back to after a nice long vacation. :( I hope all of you begin to feel better soon debster... hang in there.

Sending lots of feel-better pixie dust to your house! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Hoping everyone gets feeling better real soon, Debbie, wow!!!! My best for you guys.

Debbie:

You have my deepest sympathies. Two years ago today I had my gall bladder removed and it was downhill that whole winter. Thats why, May 2001, we went to Disney World! My poor family and I had the worst winter that year and I treated us all to a wonderful Disney vacation! And it started with exactly what you're describing.... DS14 had pneumonia and because he has asthma, he ended up in the hospital, *I* ended up with pneumonia. On the same exact day that DS was admitted to the hospital, that morning I had 2 wisdom teeth removed... DS11 had fluid in his hip joint, had to take him to Children's Hospital in Boston for bone scan, he was on crutches, had to go for physical therapy, etc! *whew* What a couple of months that was.

Hey, what time does Ian have to be at school?? I wouldn't mind picking him up. I take DS11 to school at 7:50am. And DSs school, as you know, is a stone's throw from Ians. Let me know! I have no plans for tomorrow other than driving DS11 to school. :)

I hope you and yours get to feeling better soon. It must be pneumonia season, my dad has a "touch" of it too.

PICK UP IAN?!?!? Suuuure Debbie....as long as he is in an airtight bubble with recirculated air!!! Yikes my friend...ya'll are having a rough time...I am so sorry!!! Take it easy!!! prayers and pixie dust flying your way!!!!!

{{{hugs}}}

Take good care of DH's pneumonia. My mother-in-law just had a bout with it that lasted a good 6 weeks.

Well,

The good news is that DH is not any worse which probably means he will not have to be admitted tomorrow.

The good/bad news is I DO have strep, so I have some antibiotics so I should be feeling better soon.

And...we are hoping that the antibiotics that were still in DS's system are going to protect him from this round.

How are things this morning Debbie? Hope your dh is better or at least no worse...hope your antibiotics are beginning to kick in and hope Ian is feeling so good that it makes you tired watching him!!;) It's the weekend....shut down, kick back and feel better!!!

Oh, Debbie!!! You poor guys! I had pneumonia this past winter, so I know how bad Ian must be feeling, he's only a little kid! {{{{HUGS}}}} for all of you! Get well soon!:D
