Shall We Dance?

Just got back from the 100.7/Arthur Murray preview for Shall We Dance.
It's a very good film. I thought the acting was excellent and the Dancing as well.

Should do well for Miramax and Disney.
I have yet to see the original, but I've been told it sticks very very close, but plays for a few more laughs. Which is OK, because most of of the Characterizations were spot on in my opinion.

Hmmm, I don't know about that.

Some of the subtley is lost in the American tanslation. Still, it's a good movie.

I love the Japanese original and have seen it several times. As with Ringu/The Ring, I don't plan to see the American knockoff as it would be redundant. And I'm not a fan of the two stars anyway. I hope it raises awareness for the Japanese movie.
