Aloha! We are headed to Aulani later this month and are planning to do the Shaka Guide Grand Circle Island Tour. I want to do the Jurassic Adventure at Kualoa Ranch while we are on the tour, but I can't figure out what time to schedule the Kualoa Ranch time for. Google didn't help me. Anyone know what time would be safe to schedule for when leaving Aulani around 8am?

Just in case anyone else wants to know, I emailed the Shaka Guides and they said you will be at Kualoa Ranch between 2-3 hours after you start the Island Tour. I will be there later this month and will update if that is accurate.

Thanks!!

I was thinking of doing this as well. However, would you be worried you might not make it in time for your experience?

I have never visited Hawaii but I do hear the traffic is pretty bad and delays can happen. This is the only thing giving me pause.

Does anyone know if once you pay do you always have access to that tour or is it for a set time frame of a couple days?

it says it's forever access
awesome thanks!! I may just do it then and if it doesnt work out for our Kualoa day I'll have it for 1 other day we plan to venture out and any upcoming trips we take.

I just booked the Kualoa Ranch and they want you to arrive 45 minutes before your tour time. So, we will be heading out from Aulani 3 hours prior to that time. If traffic is that bad we aren't sure we'll make it in time, then I figure we can skip some stops and just backtrack to get them after Kualoa Ranch. I do hear the stops can take longer on the weekends due to crowds, but during the week the traffic takes longer.

When are you heading there? I will be there end of the month and plan to report back on how the schedule worked out.

We are back from our Aulani trip and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately our plans changed due to some illness and some rain (tropical storm effects) so we did the Shaka Guide Island Tour and the Kualoa Ranch on separate days. Both were great! We loved the Kualoa Ranch Jurassic Tour and will be doing it again next year when we take our 22 year old child with us.

My husband exclaimed several times that he couldn't believe I only paid $16 for the Shaka Tour (look on their website for deals). We enjoyed the leisurely pace and picking how long we wanted to stay at each stop. We started the tour after going to the Swap Meet at the Aloha Bowl stadium, so I can't comment on how long it takes to get from Aulani to Kualoa Ranch while doing the Shaka tour. In the end, I'm glad we did the Shaka tour on a separate day from Kualoa Ranch, as it would have been a very long day otherwise. This way we were able to enjoy each separately and have time on the North Shore beaches.
