I would love to be able to enjoy some time up on deck, but I get sun poisoning! I will be wearing high SPF sunscreen, a hat, etc., but my question is: Are there places to sit out of the sun? At a table under an umbrella, or something. I'll probably need to be in view of the Mickey pool, and/or the Goofy pool. If the planets align, maybe even the adult pool (wait, scratch that, the planets DID align, Buzz is still clingy! ). I don't want to have to hide in my cabin for hours at a time! Thanks.

By the Mickey and Goofy poos there are tables and areas to sit out of the sun. It is actually the part that is under deck 10.

If you can pry Buzz off of you, ;) the chairs on Deck 4 are completely covered and have a lovely ocean view. :)

Sadly, Buzz is 5 and skinny. I'm hoping a few months of full-day kindergarten will help him to recognize the cord's been cut :) . But he's a great kid, and it's his vacation, too. We do have a back-up babysitter plan in place for Palo's and a surial spa trip for DH and myself ;) , those are not negotiable! So long as there's a shady spot or two where I can be with him by the pool, I'll just enjoy his company. the day will come when he won't want to be seen with me, and then I'll cry...

I can sympathize. My DD (2 1/2) thinks she is my third leg. It gets worse as she gets older and I think that we'll be in your shoes by the time she's 5. That's great that you've got a backup plan for Palos and the spa. We're just hoping for a 2 hour stint in Flounders so we can have dinner at Palo one night. It will probably work if we tell her she needs to be there to keep her younger brother (9mo) company.;)

Fortunately for us, Belle (7 next month) is a great big sister--she's already offered to sit with him on the bus to school, and at a ranch last summer, volunteered to be in with the younger kids to make Buzz feel better. It's great for her to do, but we don't like to ask her to--it's her vacation, too! But I think for the cruise they'll be in the same age group. We're cruising with my MIL, who will fill in as needed for the spa/Palo's, but we don't want to ask her for more than that. But there are worse things in life than a child who wants to be with his mom!

This is what I always think too! My DS5 and DS7 are growing up sooo fast. You sound like such a loving mom - your kids are very lucky!
