SHADE in water parks

Any tips or tricks on which direction I should take upon enterance to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach to snag shade spots??? I dont want to run aimlessly through the park like a mad woman!

Relax. There is plenty of shade. Just try to decide ahead of time what you want your homebase to be closest to. We like to be close to the chair lift, the wave pool and an entrance to the lazy river. We get there at opening and have never had trouble getting a spot that we liked.

When you enter the park you get a map just like the park maps and as the other poster said there is plenty of shade at both parks. We always stake out our spot by piling our towels etc on the chairs. I usually park myself there the entire time (I don't do slides but like the lazy river) and my DD and whatever other kid(s) we have know where I am and they check in when they are hungry or thirsty. I really enjoy the down time the water parks provide for me. I read, listen to my ipod and generally am a slug! We try to hit a water park right in the middle of our trip and we always get there at opening. When it gets busy we leave.

We sat in a section of sand right next to Shark Reef. It had shade, was close to the bathroom and pretty convenient to most of the slides. We have older kids, so we did not need to be by the kiddie slides or play area. We go to the right of the wave pool upon entry. Also, it was June and very crowded and we were still able to get seven seats together.
