Sewing Tip...Very Helpful!!

So today I decided to try sewing again. Made my camera cozies, and decided to try a tip I learned from Pinterest on how to sew a straight line:

Place a hair tie around the machine where you sew and it guides the material straight. I just tried it and It works! I have never sewn a complete straight line before today. I am so pleased. It is one thing I will keep on my sewing machine. lol.

Thats a neat tip, Ill have to try it. I have a horrible time sewing straight lines and it makes the hems of the skirts I make a bit off. Drives me crazy when the kids wear the outfits even though no one else seems to notice the skirts are off.
