~~~SEWING my way to POFQ ~ American Girl outfits & Custom Park Bags! ~~~
Actually...you CAN get the dining plan (but not free) when you use the military salute tickets. There is a special code they enter in...you either have to use a TA or call Disney direct to have it added. That is how we do it all the time....except for last time, we took advantage of the free dining since we were there for 9 days.
Nini
Thanks for the extra info Nini. :thumbsup2
Loved the YouTube video... That was awesome. DD #2 watched it with me, and she loved the Goofy part. :lovestruc Thanks for sharing it.
I broke down... Bought the Keens... Guessed on sizes based on reviews - I guess, if they're wrong, I'll just exchange them - I hope they're right though. :lovestruc
I chose these - Venice H2 (sort of matches my Donald Duck colors)
This is the color Allison chose in the Venice H2, as well:
And Victoria wanted the "Converse" style, called Coronado:
I am now done shopping for our trip - now I just need to make more stuff. :lovestruc
Hey D~ I wrote this in my PTR too, but just wanted to tell you....I was at a Disney store today and I saw those pens like the Donald one you got with his body popping out when you click it. OMG! So much fun :) I seriously played with them for 10 mins. I wanted one so bad, but was too mad at the Disney store to buy anything. (see PTR) The Goofy and Pluto ones cracked me up....might have to go back and get me one...
Oh, and I love those Keens. I got some this summer and can't wait to try them out down there :) Love the purple ones!
Hi! Coming out of lurkdom because I was in DTD this morning and I swear I saw a girl with your Mickey Christmas bag. Was that your creation?
I've been admiring your mad sewing skills from afar and you've actually gotten me sewing AG girl doll clothes and I've never sewn in my life! :lmao:
D~ did you see this video?
Check out Donald on the drums!
Nini (who really, really hopes the link works!)
My DS and I just watched this and he thought it was so funny. He had to check to see if they got wet when they went down splash mountain.
I am scared of the face too... It's definately not perfect, but I just hope dd likes it. :lovestruc
D~
I hope you didn't think I thought the face was scary, as in not good because I think your applique is great. I was thinking scary as in :scared1:
I'm glad Nini was able to clear up any confusion I caused with the information about the Dining Plan and the military tickets. It seems to
I love the shoes. They are adorable. I hope they all fit.
Me too - Thanks Diane. I ordered all of them through Amazon, but they are all shipping from different stores, so I will let you all know how they work out.
Hi! Coming out of lurkdom because I was in DTD this morning and I swear I saw a girl with your Mickey Christmas bag. Was that your creation?
AWESOME!!!!!! :banana: Yes, that was Stephanie (PoisonApplePrincess)... You should have said "hi" to her - she's super sweet. Oh, and yes, that was one of my bags... Does this mean I am famous now??? People are recognizing my stuff. :rotfl2:
Welcome!!!! That is awesome that you are sewing! Isn't it fun??? I did an quick AG dress last week (never posted pics of it) - it was just a super quick throw together dress as a gift for a family member - I need to get back to sewing some AG outfits here and there, it's so much fun!
I am so glad you came out of lurkdom... You made my day (really) that someone recognized one of my bags... I'll have to hop over to Stephanie's PTR and tell her that - she'll be thrilled too! :lovestruc
Oh no, I totally understood what you meant. :lovestruc
I know, it is a bit confusing... All my Dis friends are just the BEST! :banana:
Ok everyone - I have a humongously busy day ahead of me today...
First, I am taking that huge bag of change to the bank to deposit into my account.
Second, I have to stop into Wal-mart :headache: really quickly and grab a yard of fabric for a personal project I am working on.
Third, I have to go to the grocery store to pick up items for my trifle and for Christmas dinner.
Fourth, I am going to Target to buy (almost) my last installment of Disney gift cards. :banana: :banana: :banana:
Fifth, I have to stop and pick up pizzas for dinner tomorrow night.
Sixth, coming home to drop everything off.
Seventh, going to my BFF's house so the girls and I can spend the rest of the day with her and her dd.
Eighth, coming home and making above said trifle components.
Ninth, squeezing dinner in there somewhere.
Tenth, going to bed. :worship:
And hopefully I'll be able to check in on The Dis in between some of that. :surfweb:
D~
Oh and before my first stop... MUST GET GAS... 64 miles till E...
D~
Ha HA D that is one of DHs favorite things on the Edge the X number of miles to empty.
I need to take pictures of the skirt and post on my report. I have a busy day but I am done with sewing.
Oh and D I will be placing an order with you after the Holidays for our April Trip.
Sounds like a super busy day! Have fun though.
Maybe I will go on Amazon later and check out the shoes. There is a book I want to order also. The last book in a series I have been reading. Now that my kiddos have left for Florida I should have some free time to read. I guess I should have ordered the book last week but I was too busy to remember to do it then.
I must have missed this one. What happened?? :confused3
On the radio I caught the end of a bit about a ferry (and I don't know which ferry) that is having to decrease the number of passengers they allow on due to excess weight related to obesity of Americans. They used to use 160 pounds as the average weight and had to increase it to 185 pounds. As a side note, they mention "It's A Small World" is being shut down for renovations because they are having problems with boats bottoming out and getting stuck. They did say that Dis states the problem is due to fiberglass build up from previous repairs; however, it's apparently only an issue when there are too many obese riders (Dis won't say that though).
Nini
We did the dining plan with our tickets, but we couldn't get it for free. We were able to get a 40% room discount though at any deluxe hotel.
D~ my ds had a pair of Keens one year (only because I found them at Marshalls for around $25) and he loved them. They always looked brand new / wore very well. I like Allison's the best -- then again, purple is my favorite color :upsidedow
And to let you know, I posted on Disbout, but I got the issue with the seminar all straightened out. I'm sure you, A and V will enjoy it.
I just wanted to hop on real quick tonight, and tell you all that I survived my day. :cool1:
I managed to get all of our Christmas grocery shopping done right away this morning. I even made an impromptu trip to JoAnn's - and even through their fabric is still as wiped out as it was a few weeks ago, they happened to have a bit of what I needed. Of course - I didn't have my coupons again. :confused3
However, I am a bit disappointed... I miscalculated on my remaining balance of gift cards that I still need to purchase... I thought I would only have $30 left after my purchase today, but it's actually $113... I am not sure where I made the mistake? Oh well - I am over the hump, so that's all that matters. :thumbsup2
I was sitting with my DS outside of the Christmas store and that adorable bag went right past my line of vision. It's really amazing in person! :thumbsup2
I just love sewing and my DD is enjoying the benefits, as well ;) She loves all the new outfits and I even sold a few to friends.
Thanks - that is so nice of you to say! :lovestruc
I love that you are enjoying your sewing and I love even more that your dd is getting to enjoy it, as well... :banana: I wish I would have started sewing when my girls were younger - I missed out on some really awesome opportunities - I hope you enjoy every minute of your new hobby, and your dd does too. :cloud9:
Good morning and....
Awww... :lovestruc Thanks~ :cloud9:
wishing you all a happy and blessed Christmas!
will be back in a couple of days to catch up!
Thank you Lisa - I can't wait to hear all about this trip too! :cloud9:
We did most of our Christmas last night. We opened all of our gifts to and from eachother, and all of our gifts that family members left behind at Thanksgiving.
The girls loved their Messenger bags! :banana: And I am super happy about that! :cloud9: I will get some pictures of them wearing them today, so you all can see.
The girls did NOT appreciate their gag gifts though... Allison wanted a guitar, and Victoria wanted a "black sewing machine"... So, Josh found Allison a ukulele, and he also found Victoria a PLASTIC child sized sewing machine at Goodwill - so we wrapped those up and gave them to the girls first. Victoria loved the plastic machine, and thought it was hilarious - the thing weighs less than 2 pounds, and as she was reaching through to lift the presser lever bar, she managed to lift the entire machine with it - it was pretty funny. Allison was crying about the ukulele... So, Josh went and got the real gifts out of hiding. Both girls are now happy. :lovestruc Although Victoria still thinks that plastic machine is funny... So, now we need to find a home for the plastic machine... :wizard:
Anyways, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Eve. :lovestruc
Today, again, we will be hanging around home. Josh is making his Prime Rib Roast... I really want to watch the WDW Christmas parade - I've never seen it... So, I need to figure out which chanel it's on.
We'll probably spend some time getting Victoria's new machine set up in the sewing room.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
D~
I know that no one is probably reading PTRs today... But since we are just spending the day by ourselves, I have a few minutes of computer time.
I love my DH immensely... And he knows about my love for Donald, as well. :thumbsup2 And he always loves to surprise me with Donald items...
I must say, though, that even though I love Donald... I have a super-duper large soft spot for Angry Donald...
And even though this is a horrible picture of me, it really shows how happy I am. :rotfl2:
