Could anyone tell me how long of a sewer hose I will need to connect to the sewer hook up at a site? My old hose is worn out and i was wanting to get one long enough.

Thanks

Just depends upon your site, :confused3
I always bring (and have had to use) up to 20 feet before.

I agree with Frank. Too many variables...where is the connector on your rig, where do you park your rig on the site, how long is your current hose, and did it work? Be sure you get a right angle adapter with a multi-sized end. Some people like a clear adapter for the valve end so they can tell when the crud is gone and clear water is flowing.

Twenty feet is the right size. I carry a 10 ft and two 5 ft hoses. One twenty ft hose is too long to deal with if your hook-up is really close.

I carry 5, 15 and 20 most of the time i use 15 and 20 plus a Y connector because I have two outlets

I have 10 and 20. unable to tie together. 20 should do the trick, just walk it off before you complete set-up!!!! remember it all rolls down hill:rotfl2:

20' is good but always keep valve closed on black water tank and keep 1/3 of the tank full. Dump as needed on use and refill to 1/4 to 1/3 with water.

That is a very good question. I found when we last got to the Fort (4/29) that after jacks were down slides were out , the sewer hose was 2ft to short. And since I broke the end on my extention hose while on the way down, I had to put the slides in , put up the jacks and move 2 ft. That reminds me I've got to get another end asap.

As long as you are getting new hoses, take a look at Sewer Solution (we got ours at CW). It's the best thing we've ever bought...no need to worry if it flows down hill and no need to wire it into your battery. It actually uses water pressure! I was skeptical when we first bought it, but it works great. It comes 10' long and we bought another 10' (but have never needed it so far). Also made a 60' pipe from 1" PVC to pump our tanks to our home sewer in the fall. Can't say enough about it. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the help I will go with a 20ft hose. My hose now is maybe 10ft or whats left of it! The y connecter maybe a good idea as well versus swapping hoses but I plan on dumping the black water maybe twice in the week!
