Sorry your back is still bothering you. I hope the couple of weeks rest will help.
I love the camera bag. I would love one of those as I am having a horrible time finding a camera bag to use while at Disney. Any camera bags in your auction????? That is my only shot at getting one of your bags! LOL!
Ariel turned out awesome. I love the fabric you used!
Thank you - I am hoping so too... I am not certain though, I really think I need to go see a Dr./Chiropractor... I am positive it's a pinched nerve. I am just trying to get through this auction hoopla first - then I will be able to spare some time to go.
Sorry, no camera bags in my auction... The starting price is just too high on them, and I can't risk one not selling after all the work that goes into them. So, sadly, I only do those for custom orders.
Thank you - I am so happy with Ariel... It's taken me a long time to master faces, and every time I do one, I always worry about it.
So sorry you are still having trouble with your back. I know how you feel. I had to totally revamp the way I exercise when my hip started bothering me. I turned out that the Zumba and other dance programs I was doing were just too much pounding so I switched to an exercise bike. I'm just not as pleased with the workout I get from the bike but I'm not quite sure what else I can do without hurting my hip.
I cannot wait to see all of your custom outfits for your trip. The TR for that one is going to be epic!
You know of course how much I loved the Pluto/Mickey one when you posted on Facebook. The Ariel one is adorable too!
Well this will be me all week as I stalk your thread to see the auction bags.
I am super sad that I have to modify my working out, it's very frustrating because I am always afraid I will lose my motivation... Then to be forced into doing something I don't love, well - I am even more afraid. I will just keep pressing on, and hopefully I can continue on my path. I have 2 pairs of shorts I really want to wear on our August trip, and now with this change in plans, I am really annoyed that I may not be able to wear them. Sigh.
I am very excited to show you all my outfits, sadly it will have to wait a while yet... I have everything ordered and paid for - but most of it won't be here until the end of July... So, until then, I'll just dream about it. LOL
Thanks! I will be posting some of my auction bags here today... I am very excited for you all to see them.
I think you got Ariel's face perfect! Love both the bags. And now I'm thinking - since DH said I can get my DSLR and I'll surely be carrying it at Disney - maybe I need a D~ camera bag too! But that brings up a dilemma, since I am already on your schedule for an UPB in the fall, does my camera bag need to be coordinating or complimentary, can I carry both bags without feeling like a pack mule, will I be quick enough to get another custom order on your next round, and, how I am going to pay for all my bags?!?!
The girls seemed better this morning. We went to the doctor yesterday - I probably take them more than I should but with their histories I always worry that I could be missing strep or an ear infection if I don't take them. Both of them had clear strep tests, although the doctor did say both of their throats were inflammed. Probably just a side effect of a cold, but I know from my own experience that it hard to tell. I am glad to be back at work today, I have a lot to accomplish. Then tomorrow, I am working from home again (they are delivering our new dishwasher) but I'll be much more productive since the girls will be at school. DH gets home from his work trip Friday afternoon and I leave for mine Monday at the crack of dawn.
Hope your back feels better soon! Try googling chriopractic back stretches, the stretching routine may help you feel better.
Forgive my ignorance, but I am going to ask instead of googling - is South Dakota where Mount Rushmore is? What do you plan to do on your South Dakota trip? That is very far off my radar for vacation destinations (it's not Disney or Vegas). I love DC! I've only been twice, but I do really love it. My best friend from high school has lived there for years. I think it's a place I could actually enjoy living - except for the cost of living, of course. DH and I are going to take the girls when they are older. A trip during the Cherry Blossom Festival is on my bucket list. I loved the cherry blossom trees when we lived in Japan and I really miss them! Sometimes I worry about only taking the girls to Disney on vacation, am I depriving them of better experiences? Is it a disservice to them to not broaden our horizons? But, for the time being we love it. I hope in the future we'll be able to add a 3rd trip each year so we can keep Disney and Vegas and get out and explore some new places too!
I can't wait to see all the auction bags! Will we get a sneak peek here?
Hahaha... Well, I don't think I would carry a camera bag and a UPB at the same time - I think it would be too much, IMO. And depending on what you carry in your camera bag and regular bag, there may not be much room in your camera bag to carry other stuff. That is the dillema we ran into last year with Alli's bag - which is why I continue to modify them when I make them... Alli didn't have room for anything in her bag except her camera, so V and I ended up carrying her other stuff for her - which was a pain. Just something to keep in mind. I try to keep a delicate balance between creating a bag that's HUGE and will carry too much/too heavy, and a bag that will carry a camera + essentials... and I think I am there.
Very relieved to hear that the girls are doing better.
Yay for your new dishwasher - we've been limping ours along for years.
Yes, Mt. Rushmore is in SD, so are the Black Hills and so much more... It looks like an awesome destination. My issue is that there are no planning forums for SD - LOL... And I am such a planner... I am so afraid to book anywhere, because what if we end up in a crappy hotel? And everything is so spread out... No Disney busses to take me everywhere... LOL But it will be fun - everyone that goes seems to go back. It will just be different, that's all. And no custom bags/outfits/headgear/shoe bling...
I will be posting some of my auction bags this morning.
D~, I think you have mastered the princess face. Ariel looks amazing. I am excited there might be a princess in the auction bags.
Sorry about the back. Injuries can be so frustrating.
I am getting excited to read your TR. I want to see all the cool outfits in the parks. I wish we could be there at the same time, but I am excited to try the first week of September. The school district changed their calendar again, so Chelsea will be missing 3 days of school, but the school didn't think it was a big deal. It will be her last year in Elementary school, so we won't be able to do September again for awhile. The University of Oregon doesn't start until the last week of September, so the older kids are now finally able to do the September trips. At least I got one in.
I am sorry to hear it might be your last Disney trip for awhile.
Thank you Shannon... It's been a lot of practice to master Princess faces.
I am excited to see all of my outfits come together too... I hope they look as great IRL as they do in my head. LOL
I would LOVE to do September... Maybe some day - once my girls are out of college.
I posted on the 13th at the same time you posted, so we missed each other. No biggie, I was just telling you I'd be gone for the weekend and to wish Josh a Happy Fathers' day.
I cannot believe you are apologizing to us about posting too many bag pictures!! Really?? Just to remind you, we are the ones constantly bugging you about wanting to see everything you sew. Nothing has changed, so post away, you silly girl!!
I really hate to hear that your back is causing you problems. Maybe over the 4th weekend it will rest up enough to allow you to do the lifting you love so much. It's important to love your workouts so you keep doing them! (as you already know) You are in my prayers.
Yes, you should be very pleased with Ariel's features. They are spot on! Just a beautiful job! And the camera bag is just as you say
FUN!! And so well done. Lucky, lucky recipients!! I bought some Disney fabric at a warehouse over the weekend that I had never seen before. It wasn't cheap, but not too bad either. I just had to have it! I'll figure out something to make with it eventually
Kathy: I just wanted to say I hope your Mom is improving and will be able to come home soon if she hasn't already. Prayers to you!
Your trip plans are coming along nicely. I remember how you were scrambling last year and even added another custom bag for yourself at the last minute and got it all done. I have all the confidence you'll get everything completed just in time.
Having to take in clothes is a good problem to have. I know you don't have a lot of time for that, but boy it sure is a blessing!! Have a wonderful day in the sewing room!!
Sorry I missed your post Lois... I try so hard not to do that. I will go back and find it to read.
Hahaha... Well, I will be posting a few of my auction bags today. And a few more tomorrow. And a few more the next day.
I sure hope I am able to resume lifting after the 4th. I am just so annoyed by it, I am so nervous that my progress will stall out and I will lose motivation. I must keep my head in the game.
Thanks Lois... I need to restock my Disney fabric, I am running really low. I hope you got some great stuff!
Yah - I did add that bag at the last minute... And remember - it was a pattern I had JUST drafted too. LOL I am so crazy sometimes. Glad I did it though - it ended up being my favorite bag to carry and just the right size for me.
Love the camera bag and Ariel!!
Thanks Terri!
I have to say I love your camera bag!! So sorry you will have to skip Disney for awhile. Drat.....maybe you will win the lotto or something....
I know you must be excited for your Disney trip we just dropped to double digits yesterday and I can hardly contain myself.
Thank you - yes I am super sad about it. There might be a way that I can make it work, but for now - I will have to make the other trips work FIRST before I can even think about Disney.
Yay for you! Yes, we are getting really excited. V is on Pinterest for HOURS every day planning her outfits.
I am hopelessly behind.. Can someone give me the cliff notes???
I do LOVE the Camera bags... and Ariel came out perfect!!!
I think i need to talk to you and making a ULTIMATE DOG TRAINING BAG. with Disney Dogs on it!!!
I need one of those terribly..
Hi Mo!!! I've missed you!

I hope you and the family are doing well.
Cliff notes??? HAhahaha...
Thank you... I am very pleased.
ROFL... That would be too cute!
I hope your back gets better soon.
The bags look great. the colors on the Ariel bag really fits the theme of the bag.
It's cold outside, but at least it's not snowing today. But it's raining heavy. But I don't mind. Because when it's cold outdoors it doesn't get hot indoors. I really HATE it when it gets 82,4ºF INDOORS. so today it's just fine. Cold outdoors and normal indoor temperature indoors.
Thank you Lillian. I was super happy with the Ariel bag.
Glad you aren't getting snow... and glad the temps were nice yesterday.
**********************************************************
Yesterday didn't exactly work out as planned for me, but - it did come together in the end.
I didn't work out at all. Since my back was so sore the night before - I decided not to do anything yesterday.
So, I went right upstairs to work in the morning... I started cutting out my next custom order and prepping to quilt.
Then Alli runs upstairs to tell me that her previously scheduled/cancelled photoshoot was back on the schedule and we were already late for it. WHAT?

So, I hopped in the shower as fast as I could and ran out the door.
We were late - they were not impressed. But everyone was fine once we explained why all the confusion... Allison wowed them with her talents... And the little girl she took pictures of was adorable... So, it turned out to be a great thing.
We came home... I went back to work quilting.
Alli went to work editing her bazillion photos... A moment of pause here...
Thank you Mo for helping her out yesterday - that was super nice of you.
I worked until 3pm... Then V and I finished up the last of season 3 of Once Upon A Time... LOVE that show and so addicted to it.
Today, I work at Target. Which will be fun with my back. It's feeling better than it was the other night, but still a lot of shooting pain.
I hope that all of you have a wonderful day... Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all.
D~
