Good morning all, beautiful morning on the lake!

We had a nice day yesterday... Sadly the biting flies were bad, so they kept us indoors most of the morning.

I took mm with me for my walk, but the flies were crazy on him, so I had to turn around and bring him home. Poor mm.

V with Lottie before we went to the parade yesterday.

We went to the annual 4th of July parade with some friends on the lake... Lots of fun for only 8 floats. Lol

We were teasing Josh all day about how much we loved his shirt... He had just received it for his birthday... Its a great color on him... But after a few compliments, he started to get annoyed and threatened to take it off... So we complimented him more.

Grandpa rode his bike over to where we were sitting for the parade. We teased him that he could have been in the parade. .

After the parade, we all came back and took a nap. Except for grandpa and v, they went out on the jet ski.

We had brats on the grill for dinner. They were very good.

Then we all sat out on the end of the dock for the remainder of the evening.

It was a beautiful and relaxing day.

My view from the deck this morning... Its another glorious morning here... Hopefully you can see it, my tablet doesn't have the best camera.

I don't think we have any significant plans today, or any other day this week. I will be going for my walk shortly. I started a new book last night "The White Princess" by Phillipa Gregory. I am also reading "Eat the Yolks" by Liz Wolfe... A great intro book to Paleo and real food eating - highly recommend.

We'll probably go out on the water later, and if it stays sunny, I'll probably throw on my suit and lay on the dock for a bit... Speaking of suits... Very concerned that the size 12 suits I purchased too small for this year will be too big by our trip, as they are borderline too big now... But I love them all and I will make them work.

Hi D~! So glad you're having a fun and relaxing stay at the lake. It looks so peaceful there. Just what you needed.

Bummer about Josh's truck…and after having it such a short time. I hope it gets fixed soon and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. When I saw your car packed to the gills on FB, I wondered why you didn't take the truck. I love the alphabet game! There's an app for the license plate game that Dan and I do on our trips to Va. HaHa. Memories!

Good problem to have with the bathing suits. I had a disaster while in Virginia with one of mine….will be heading to Sears and the Lands End suits this week!

Well, continue to have a great time and soak in all that togetherness. These memories will last a lifetime!

Oh no Lois, sorry to hear about the bathing suit disaster, I hope it isn't as bad as I fear. Now is a good time to get a new suit, so many sales!

Thank you Ruth... I am feeling so good these days, its almost magical... I never though I would ever feel this good, this way of eating/life has had such a profound affect on me, I can't imagine ever going back.

I wish I had something interesting or fun to post from yesterday, but we didn't do much...

Alli and I took a walk in the morning.

Josh and his dad went to Fargo for the day...

So we were all bums at the lake... The Fies were so bad outdoors... One of the reasons the boys went to Fargo - to get fly spray for the dogs and a fly trap.

We took naps and read books all day, at one point grandma took the girls to DQ, but otherwise, we were pretty lazy.

The girls went swimming after dinner...

But it was a nice day.

Not sure what today's plans involve? A walk for me, for sure. I am also hoping to get my swimsuit on and lay on the dock for a bit... I have a nice tan going and I'd like to hang on to it for our trip.

Wish I could join you for your relaxing day at the lake! I need some serious relaxation in my life right now - but I have a conference call in 10 minutes, then I need to use my lunch hour to restock our pull up supply (only for overnights, yea Charlotte!), followed by a couple hours of work, then another conference call, then another hour or so of work, picking up the girls, making dinner, doing laundry, changing sheets, cleaning the kitchen, and getting the girls and myself in bed. Repeat that, or some variation of it, for the next 3 days.

Glad you all are enjoying some down time! You deserve it! I apologize for being jealous.

I'm melting away here. It's soooo hot. It hasn't been so many hot days in a row here in Tromsø since 1979. At my balcony I have had 86ºF every day since Saturday. But luckily the temperatures will go down to 59ºF on Friday. I really hope their right.

We all had a very nice day yesterday.

Grandma and the girls and I went to Perham for the day... It was a lot of fun... Lots of little touristy/crafty shops.

We enjoyed lunch in town and then I made the girls climb the slide in the park to take their picture...

I fpoiund a really cute pair of Papillos/Birkenstocks I just loved, but I took their picture and left them behind... On a side note, I have definitely lost weight and size in my feet, they are much narrower and a size smaller.

Then we came back to the lake to find Josh and his dad hard at work in the back yard, with no desire to BBQ... So we went out to dinner, as well.

I made my first ever photo collage last night, I have never done one before and I thought it was kind of cool... It shows my progress from last year on our August Disney trip (where I had already gone down considerably in size) until now... So, almost a year.

Today, I will be going for a walk in a few minutes... Then we have a bit of yard work to do this morning... Then it it supposed to be a glorious day on the lake, so everyone will have swim gear on and the boat will be on the water this afternoon.

I hope all of you are having a good week... My sincerest apologies that I am not able to do proper replies this week. Many hugs and prayers to you all.
