Ahhh we just waited through that same queue last week. The posted standby time was 40 minutes....but the ride kept breaking down over and over (maybe a half dozen times during our wait) and we actually waited about 80 minutes. It was HOT that day though, so the wait was pretty miserable.... Did you notice that the queue always seems like it's going to end, and then you end up in another room full of snaking lines? When we finally got to the ride I thought we had reached the Holy Grail! lol It's a fun ride though!
Just a note on the decals... mine have been on in the HOT GA sun for over four years now...The only problem we had was when Mr D decided he wanted to peel them off.... of course I didn't get mine from Disney.... I got mine from ebay and had our name included on it. Our name is the only part missing now...or at least part of it. It used to say "The Morris Family"...then Mr D took off the "T" in The... so hubby decided to take the "he" off.... now it just says " Morris Family" Kinda off balance...sort of like us!

enjoy your day sewing
FYI - D~ has already visited, but I started a PTR for our DISMeet tour...link is in my siggie, stop on by and anyone coming to the meet's is welcome to post !!
Sorry D~ to hijack, too, but ... HI JUDY! We are fine . . . our version of fine, I should say. My oldest has had a rocky first year of marriage and is currently CinderFella at his house - not going to school, and instead taking care of the house and stepdaughter while his wife works his old job; Robert decided the last month of 8th grade that (finally) he wants to make good grades; and Grace Ellen - great news! Grace was accepted into the BSN program at AASU in Savannah! She was one of only 80 accepted out of over 350 applicants. I am SO PROUD OF MY GIRL BABY!!!!!
She is on the right mix of meds, and otherwise appears to be kicking hiney and taking names.
I got a transfer at the end of the year and started a new position in a wonderful new department. My husband Bill got a clean CT, MRI, and chest x-ray in January, and we switched urologists to one we like and trust.
Of course, it wouldn't be us without weird things happening - I was ready to leave work yesterday and was thinking about what to have for supper, and Bill texted me that our beagle was just bitten by a copperhead snake . . . in our yard . . . AGAIN! The first time was over Labor Day weekend last year. It cost us $800 last time, which we totally, without a doubt, completely DID NOT HAVE this time so we doctored on him at home and he seems to be doing fine. And Bill killed the snake this time.
I drop in to your trip report occasionally to keep up. Sounds like you're making slow but sure progress at your house.![]()
I'm sorry I haven't been around more.I just can't help myself when it comes to video games.
We need to let the girls Skype one night.Well, I'm sure DS would like to say "hi", too.
We've missed you and your girls! I can't wait for the year we can play a trip together! SO. MUCH. FUN!
I typically do the same, but mine usually come out so grainy. Sigh. Even if it's a decent, non-blurred picture, it usually has a grainy look.![]()
Phew, finally caught back up!
Alli looked BEAUTIFUL in her formal dress!
Sorry to hear about the prowlers, but glad you are in a neighborhood where everyone looks out for everyone else. FX that you don't have any trouble from the new people.
You had some excellent pictures on the last AK post. I loved the flag one too, and seeing all the animals on the MJT makes me excited for our upcoming trip.
Can't wait to read MORE!!!
Sunshine
D~, I also wanted to add that I was reading your PTR and wow, what a trip down Memory Lane when I saw your Rocketeer sewing machine! That's what I learned to sew on when I was about 9 or 10! What I mostly learned is I don't need to be sewing.Knowing how much effort and thought goes into an item makes me appreciate your handiwork so much.

Hi D~
Just popping in to say that I have been enjoying your updates very much.
MM is getting so big! We had a black lab for 15 years and I was amazed at how quickly he grew. He was also a perpetual puppy. He would have been a great hunting dog, but by the time he joined our family, my dad had given up hunting. My dad always wished we had our Prince about 10 years earlier than when we did.
Now I'm off to catch up on everything as we have been away for my niece's wedding on the weekend. Everything has a habit of piling up when one is away (even if only for a few days).![]()
I hate typing on the ipad, that was supposed to say So much fun to read!
I so miss Jimmy Johns! Then Josh had to run an errand - so I went with him... He took me out for lunch at Jimmy Johns (Num - my favorite)...
Josh and I were talking last night... We do season passes to our local theme park every summer for the girls and I (not Josh, because he never goes), so I plan to order them this week. It's an hour drive for us - but we do get our use out of them, and it's a lot of fun. The only bummer is that it's an hour drive, which isn't bad in the morning when we are there for park opening... but if we leave too late in the day - then we're stuck in rush hour traffic. So, basically, we have to leave there by 2pm to miss rush hour - or we have to stay until 7 - to miss the end of rush hour.Almost always, we are out of there by 2. LOL Here's the link to our local park if you are bored and want to check it out... www.valleyfair.com
Anyways, we were talking, and I had the idea of getting a family pass to our local Zoo. I had heard they are pretty reasonable. So, Josh and I checked into it last night, and it's only $130 for the entire family + 1 friend - and it's valid for one calendar year. I think we decided we are going to do that too... One of the main reasons is that it would include Josh - so he could take the girls on the days I work and he is off. Also, I've been looking for ways to get the girls out of town (and away from our scary neighbors) - but also ways for us to get out an excercise. And - it's only a half hour away from our house! I thought this would be kind of fun. Here's the link to our Zoo, if you want to look at that... www.mnzoo.com
D~
Thanks Michelle. I hope you like lunch at TH... I was just glad that the breakfast line was still open - or I would have been a bit upset, because I did not like the lunch offerings at all.
I have lots to do today... All of it in my sewing room...
I'll try to check in later with an update.

Otherwise - it's just boring around here... we are trying to wrap up the end of the school year, only 2 more weeks left!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day today... I have to work... Sigh.

I finally caught up. I was reallybehind so I just want to say how cool about the AK parade and Alli looked beautiful for her formal night.
Sounds like the girls will have some fun activities this summer. We obligate about 2 weeks left as well and I am still trying to figure out our summer plans so my oldest doesn't get bored and whine to me all summer long.
Can't wait to see your newest bag.
good idea getting the zoo pass....we just got an aquarium one, even if you only go 2-3 times it pays for itself!
happy you and josh had a fun day together
can't wait to see your new bag![]()
All caught up again!! So you didn't get on EE?
I have the same dilemma as you only ours has to do with Waterpark passes rather than Amusement Park. We do a zoo membership and an aquarium membership -- I love those. I don't care for the Waterpark so much but we did not get passes last year and ds is begging for them. I don't know what to do. Our zoo and aquarium have expired and the Waterpark is expensive. I don't think I can swing all of them with our house in RI empty. I think you would love zoo passes though.
So I take a month off to deal with some family issues and I come back to find that your thread is already in the 70's?
Well I caught up some, but I admite I still have about 20 pages to go, but I wanted to check in and let you now I am still around and getting back into that Disney spirit.![]()
I so miss Jimmy Johns! There was one about 2 blocks away from us when we lived in East Lansing MI. We went there a lot.
I also miss Qdoba.
We have a family membership to our local aquarium and we use it every month. When we were in MI, we had a membership to the Binder Park Zoo and because of their reciprocal agreements with other zoos, that one membership got us into the Detroit Zoo and the Toronto Zoo as well. Family memberships are definitely the way to go - I'm sure you will use it a lot over the course of a year.
I won't show DH this as he wants to cancel this ADR
We (as in my mom) has a vacation home in Lovell, just over the border from North Conway. How close are you to that?
Just saying if you came to RI... you can use your Zoo passes to get into free at our zoo and some places in Boston.

That's funny because it's the same thing around here, but sort of backwards. I just bought passes to the local theme park last thursday and have already been there 3 times and am planning on taking my eldest DS there on Saturday since his 10th birthday in on friday. Our park is Six Flags Great America and it is only about 20 minutes away so it is very convieniant. It's also great because it has a connected water park that we go to all the time. Matter of fact when the WP is open we are there more than the rest of the park, but than the kids are still to small for the roller coasters. Liam is just getting into them after his visit to WDW last year.
I also bought a membership to the zoo for spring break. But since it is a little over an hour away we will not go all the time. I also need to make sure to go when others will probably not go since when we went for spring break that it was so busy that it took us 3 hours to get there and half of that time was within 3 miles of the zoo. It was crazy!!!![]()
HI! I've been lurking and reading along for the last few days. I skimmed through all of your posts and though I'm very new to the DIS, I just had to say hi and let you know i love your posts about your trip and your bags are amazing!! Ive been learning alot from reading this thread, we are planning our second trip to Disney for Sept and Im really getting into sewing more and more. I have made stuff but your detail is just INSANELY GOOD! Just wanted you to know!![]()
I have to laugh because when I clicked on the link to your local amusement park I was like wait a minute she doesn't live in California!!! The website is the exact same as our local park http://www.cagreatamerica.com/. So I dug a little deeper and they are both owned by Cedair Fair and we also got our passes when they reopened in March and have already been about 5 times!! Ours is also about 45 mins away and we normally leave by 2 pm also due to traffic issues.
Loved your last update. Looks like you guys were able to get in any of the last rides you wanted to do. Really need to talk the husband into that do over trip!! I really want to go back to WDW just can't justify the airfare. Oh well at least Disneyland is driveable for us so I'll take that trip any day.
Hey -- your link is to the Milwaukee Zoo and I have to say that's the zoo I grew up with and I even worked there one summer in high school! I haven't been there in years, but that was awesome -- way ahead of the times for zoos in that animals were in natural habitats and not cages (for the most part). I really liked Roger Williams Zoo too -- we had membership there.Just saying if you came to RI... you can use your Zoo passes to get into free at our zoo and some places in Boston.

A) I keep my shoe boxes so I appreciate your hard work (had no clue they had to be assembled -- I just figured shoes were shipped to you in shoe boxes)Nothing exciting is happening here... I get to go waste my day at work today "building shoe boxes" - which I find highly annoying... Since 99% of the time, people ask us to throw them away at the check lanes. Grrr... Oh well.
Josh did get a new toy yesterday though... He's been wanting a Jeep Wrangler for as long as I've known him - but obviously, we had to put it on the back burner while we were driving family sedans and mini-vans. But finally, after all these years, he found the Jeep of his dreams on Craigslist, and after much negotiation - they came to an agreeable price. Josh got to pick it up last night, and he is just excited... What's that called "mid-life crisis"??? I don't think it's quite that extreme - but he is definately lovin' it! Also, keep in mind that we NEVER buy new vehicles... Josh has been driving his same truck for 6 years now, and recently he has really been getting some awful gas mileage. We are keeping the truck, because we use it all the time for family trips to the lake, and to haul boats and stuff... but it's nice for him to have something that is a *little better* on gas mileage.
Anyways, here's a couple photos of Josh's new toy...

I can totally see Josh and the girls sneaking off to the zoo on the days I work this summer, with the top down. Then he'll have to sit outside the restrooms for an hour, waiting for Alli to fix her hair.
I hope everyone has a great day today - I'll just be building shoe boxes...

It would be Donald Blue if it were for D~ and the removable roof would be yellow. Are you sure it's not your new toy since it's red![]()
