Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

I love your AK pics! Why your PNS picks up such vibrant colors and mine is for crap I'll never know.

Bad news that the family just has a boyfriend and sleeze bag friends -- good that you are such a tight knit community and watch each other's backs. Hopefully they will mind their own business.

I think your expertise is needed over on Disbout. Mr. Rocket's cousin needs some help in the bobbin area -- geez, now I even forget who's machine it is, maybe Carolyn's (TinkNH) :confused3 Recall I'm old and senile and can't remember beyond one minute.

I normally just read and don't post, but I wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your trip report and - OK, full disclosure  - your gorgeous creations (and while your daughters are beautiful, I mean your sewing!) hahaha

Hijacking your thread for a moment D~... to say CANDY!!!!! Where have you been??? How is everyone??? I think of you all of the time! SO much to ask you....

Now to D~ AWESOME updates as usual, and I agree the p AK pics are to die for!!! Speaking of gorgeous pics...A is a doll baby in that dress! Surprised Josh let her out of the house! I am eager to read al about the remodel see the album, GREAT TALENT abounds in your family! Stay safe and watchful my friend!! I am missing a TON I know, but had to comment on what I could!

Love your decals! I have them on my car too. So I have one for me, one for DH and one for our cat Moto. They are kind of fading, chipping away now though :crazy2:

D..if you hve a moment to pop over to the disbou thread...

My mother gifted me with her (I refuse to say vintage since its the same age as me) Singer 457 this morning. I was having some issues..but I think I figured out the problem..a broken gear and was told you are the expert around here on restoring older machines. Just wanting your opinion and if this seems like something I can fix myself :) posted pics and stuff over there
TIA!

 How scary about the prowler. Hopefully when MM gets bigger he will at least start barking to let you know if someone was in the yard.

Love your newest updates... We have a lunch ressie at Tusker House that I can't wait for. We have only done breakfast so I am excited to try the lunch.:cool1:

OK - pictures from Allison's formal. I posted them on FB last night - and some how everything I've been posting for the last 2 or 3 weeks was set to a custom visibility - so only about 6 people got to see it. Grrr... so I changed the visibility this morning and added another picture so all my other friends could see. :crazy2:

D~

She looks so beautiful and so grown up:goodvibes

Looks like a fun day! I love that last photo. It really looks like a house... I had to go back and make sure I was still reading about AK.

Thanks! I just love all the lighting in the parks - and I finally have a camera that will capture it.

Love the remodel! I'll have to look at the album later though.
Thanks Marianne... It was 2 years of our lives - and a huge disgusting mess for the most part of it. So glad to have it done. Allison and I went for a walk the other morning, and we approached our house from the dirt road, and I actually looked at our house and thought it was charming and cute. LOL You know how you see something every single day and you barely notice it? That's me with our house.

We'll get you here somehow!

Yup, we will - airfare went up yesterday.

My cousin has a golden. . .and she was a lot like MM when she was a baby. . . she is a great guard dog now though. . . she totally watches their house and barks like a crazy person, leaping and jumping on people she wasn't expecting to see.

That's good - so there's hope?

And, aren't you impressed? I'm caught up again!

Super impressive Marianne... but not as impressive as the people below you whol read my entire PTR and are now working on my TR... That's impressive. ROFL - I love ya though & and I am glad you're here!

Sounds like a successful end to AK day.

It was pretty good - there were so many more things we would have liked to accomplish... We didn't get to see any of the characters in Camp Minnie Mickey - which I would have liked to have done. And I really would have liked to do EE again. Ah well.

you took some GREAT photos D~ love how you filled the frame with the flags!
haven't been on KRR since 2008 and I ALWAYS GET SOAKED, not wet, SOAKED...water coming up and over my head SOAKED, when we go down the hill I'm the one who is backwards, so its got to be pretty warm for me to try to ride it

Thanks LIsa. :) ROFL... I know that feeling all too well... V and I were going down backwards this time - and I knew what that meant.

Working my way through your PTR (all 200+ pages) now

I actually just started sewing about a week ago..and then into the Disbou thread..then to your TR
I have made a grand total of 2 dresses..both in the other thread. But because of you i now NEED to learn to applique

WOW - I am impressed! I am so glad you are reading the Disbou thread - those ladies over their are mostly all self taught and just so inspiring! And they always seem to have an answer to any question at any time of the day.

I love that you are reading my entire PTR... I miss that guy - he is like an old friend to me. I can't wait to start a new one!

Appliqueing isn't as hard as you'd think it is - just time consuming and attention to detail is a must. And then there's the finesse with the machine - but IMO - that's unrelated to the above. LOL Heather Sue's most awesome tutorial is what I used to get started - it's a great tut!

Love your latest updaate and totally love your now and then photos.

Thanks Chiara!

Ally looks gorgeous~ that dress is beautiful!!

Thanks Oopsi!

Love the decals on your car! DH put mine on last week.

YAY!!! I just wish you could read "My other car is a Monorail" a bit better - I feel like you have to be right up on it to read it.

Oh the wonderful jalepeno pretzels...how I wish there was somewhere in the real world that you could get some of that deliciousness! 18 months is just TOO long to wait for that goodness again!!!

I know, it's such a shame... But then they probably wouldn't be as good... :confused3 Part of the goodness is the atmosphere - I could eat them in the real world with my eyes closed, I suppose?

Can you believe we have never done KRR or Splash Mountain? Yep, since we have always gone in March when the weather is cooler, we have never wanted to go on wet rides. Maybe it will be warmer in Oct when we go, and we can finally try them...

Oh M'dear... I don't think you have "officially" been to WDW until you have ridden those rides. Splash is just the best ride ever -and rain or shine we ride it, and we ride it a lot! :cool2: And KRR is awesome too - but it's definately not Splash.

You got some great shots that day! Kali was closed in Feb, so I can't wait to try it out in the hot July weather

That will we awesome in July... Ride it over & over & over & over....

Yikes! That "prowler" would really freak me out since I am home alone at night with Bill working. Good thing you have other great neighbors that will be watching things.

I agree....

I plan to spend much more time at AK this time around. It was our first park on the first day and we just were overwhelmed. I plan to take it easy this trip and see everything And of course I have to have a jalapeno pretzel too now thanks to you

AK is a fun place to spend some time enjoying the scenery... there are so many nooks and crannies to explore. You need to look for the little path that goes behind and under the ToL - it's just the coolest thing - and secluded. And the jalepeno pretzel is a must!

I normally just read and don't post, but I wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your trip report and - OK, full disclosure  - your gorgeous creations (and while your daughters are beautiful, I mean your sewing!) hahaha

ROFL... Thanks!!! :) Welcome! I am glad to hear you are enjoying my TR... I hope you'll stick around and continue to read. :wizard:

I read that you thought perhaps your daughter was too old for the Goofy dress and I completely disagree! It looks precious :lovestruc on her and maybe I'm weird, but age appropriate in a sweet way. Heck, I'm 49 and I would seriously consider wearing something like it, with my favorite character, myself! Not in everyday life but absolutely at WDW.

You are so talented - simply amazing!

Awww... Thank you - that really means a lot to me. I am just glad she enjoyed wearing it - and that was reiterated when Goofy just adored her. It really made all the hard work, worth it.

I'm still here ... sorta. :lmao: I haven't been on any websites in roughly a week! Seriously? The emoticons have changed AGAIN? Sigh.

Anyway, A looked fabulous in her dress!!!

DD10 looked over my shoulder as I was scanning through your TR and she said, "Wow, they're so lucky that they're STILL at WDW!" Too cute, she thinks you haven't made it home yet. :lmao:

Awww... Liddy - I am so glad you are still here. I was thinking about you while I was at work yesterday and wondering how you've been? I've missed you. :flower3: Your dd just made us giggle yesterday - I told Alli what she said, and Alli just laughed. :) She misses your adorable kiddos so much!

I love your AK pics! Why your PNS picks up such vibrant colors and mine is for crap I'll never know.

I just turn on the low light setting and shut off the flash - it leaves the shutter open longer - which means half my photos turn out blurry - but some of them turn out really good. To be honest - I use that setting for almost everything - it's a great setting for most situations.

Bad news that the family just has a boyfriend and sleeze bag friends -- good that you are such a tight knit community and watch each other's backs. Hopefully they will mind their own business.

I just hope they keep to themselves. My other neighbor told me to keep my friends close and my enemies closer - but I have no desire to talk to these people - I want nothing to do with them at all.

I think your expertise is needed over on Disbout. Mr. Rocket's cousin needs some help in the bobbin area -- geez, now I even forget who's machine it is, maybe Carolyn's (TinkNH) :confused3 Recall I'm old and senile and can't remember beyond one minute.

I'll be over there as soon as I am done here. :thumbsup2

Thanks Judy.... I am glad you were able to stop by and say hi! :) I am so excited that you all get to go to FL again - you need that relief so badly and I am just so happy for all of you.

Alright i made it through the PTR! So mug in toread.
On to your TR I go!

LOL I can't believe you made it through my PTR! WTG!!! My TR is easy-peasy. :wizard:

D,
I was browsing my local kijiji ads (like craigslist) and came across this, thought you might like to see.
http://kitchener.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-toys-games-Vintage-Donald-Duck-W0QQAdIdZ361258425

ROFL - I would totally wear that! :woohoo:

Haha, I just love that you're wearing the Donald Duck "I'm on a Boat" shirt.

Yah - I still wear it all the time at home, it's so comfy.

Love your decals! I have them on my car too. So I have one for me, one for DH and one for our cat Moto. They are kind of fading, chipping away now though :crazy2:

Thanks! I am bummed that they don't last very long - I wish they did. Oh well, I'll just have to buy more the next time we go. :wizard:

I am on my way over shortly.

How scary about the prowler. Hopefully when MM gets bigger he will at least start barking to let you know if someone was in the yard.

Love your newest updates... We have a lunch ressie at Tusker House that I can't wait for. We have only done breakfast so I am excited to try the lunch.

She looks so beautiful and so grown up

Thanks Michelle. I hope you like lunch at TH... I was just glad that the breakfast line was still open - or I would have been a bit upset, because I did not like the lunch offerings at all.

I have lots to do today... All of it in my sewing room...

I'll try to check in later with an update.

D~

Ahhh we just waited through that same queue last week. The posted standby time was 40 minutes....but the ride kept breaking down over and over (maybe a half dozen times during our wait) and we actually waited about 80 minutes. It was HOT that day though, so the wait was pretty miserable.... Did you notice that the queue always seems like it's going to end, and then you end up in another room full of snaking lines? When we finally got to the ride I thought we had reached the Holy Grail! lol It's a fun ride though!

Just a note on the decals... mine have been on in the HOT GA sun for over four years now...The only problem we had was when Mr D decided he wanted to peel them off.... of course I didn't get mine from Disney.... I got mine from ebay and had our name included on it. Our name is the only part missing now...or at least part of it. It used to say "The Morris Family"...then Mr D took off the "T" in The... so hubby decided to take the "he" off.... now it just says " Morris Family" Kinda off balance...sort of like us!

Nini

enjoy your day sewing :)

FYI - D~ has already visited, but I started a PTR for our DISMeet tour...link is in my siggie, stop on by and anyone coming to the meet's is welcome to post !!

Hijacking your thread for a moment D~... to say CANDY!!!!! Where have you been??? How is everyone??? I think of you all of the time! SO much to ask you....

Sorry D~ to hijack, too, but ... HI JUDY! We are fine . . . our version of fine, I should say. My oldest has had a rocky first year of marriage and is currently CinderFella at his house - not going to school, and instead taking care of the house and stepdaughter while his wife works his old job; Robert decided the last month of 8th grade that (finally) he wants to make good grades; and Grace Ellen - great news! Grace was accepted into the BSN program at AASU in Savannah! :cool1: She was one of only 80 accepted out of over 350 applicants. I am SO PROUD OF MY GIRL BABY!!!!! She is on the right mix of meds, and otherwise appears to be kicking hiney and taking names. :cheer2: I got a transfer at the end of the year and started a new position in a wonderful new department. My husband Bill got a clean CT, MRI, and chest x-ray in January, and we switched urologists to one we like and trust. :woohoo: Of course, it wouldn't be us without weird things happening - I was ready to leave work yesterday and was thinking about what to have for supper, and Bill texted me that our beagle was just bitten by a copperhead snake . . . in our yard . . . AGAIN! The first time was over Labor Day weekend last year. It cost us $800 last time, which we totally, without a doubt, completely DID NOT HAVE this time so we doctored on him at home and he seems to be doing fine. And Bill killed the snake this time. :rolleyes1

I drop in to your trip report occasionally to keep up. Sounds like you're making slow but sure progress at your house. :goodvibes

I'm sorry I haven't been around more. :headache: I just can't help myself when it comes to video games. :lmao:

We need to let the girls Skype one night. :thumbsup2 Well, I'm sure DS would like to say "hi", too.

We've missed you and your girls! I can't wait for the year we can play a trip together! SO. MUCH. FUN!

I just turn on the low light setting and shut off the flash - it leaves the shutter open longer - which means half my photos turn out blurry - but some of them turn out really good. To be honest - I use that setting for almost everything - it's a great setting for most situations.

I typically do the same, but mine usually come out so grainy. Sigh. Even if it's a decent, non-blurred picture, it usually has a grainy look.

Phew, finally caught back up!

Alli looked BEAUTIFUL in her formal dress!

Sorry to hear about the prowlers, but glad you are in a neighborhood where everyone looks out for everyone else. FX that you don't have any trouble from the new people.

You had some excellent pictures on the last AK post. I loved the flag one too, and seeing all the animals on the MJT makes me excited for our upcoming trip.

Can't wait to read MORE!!! :)

Sunshine

D~, I also wanted to add that I was reading your PTR and wow, what a trip down Memory Lane when I saw your Rocketeer sewing machine! That's what I learned to sew on when I was about 9 or 10! What I mostly learned is I don't need to be sewing. :rotfl: Knowing how much effort and thought goes into an item makes me appreciate your handiwork so much. :worship:

Hi D~

Just popping in to say that I have been enjoying your updates very much. :goodvibes

MM is getting so big! We had a black lab for 15 years and I was amazed at how quickly he grew. He was also a perpetual puppy. He would have been a great hunting dog, but by the time he joined our family, my dad had given up hunting. My dad always wished we had our Prince about 10 years earlier than when we did.

Now I'm off to catch up on everything as we have been away for my niece's wedding on the weekend. Everything has a habit of piling up when one is away (even if only for a few days).:)

Working my way through your PTR (all 200+ pages) now :)

I saw you're from NH . . . whereabouts? When I was growing up we had a cabin in Henniker, NH. I wish we still had it, but the property taxes were killing us, so we had to sell it 5 years ago :(
