My machine doesn't sew and I think maybe I have a bent needle. However, I can't seem to get the needle out. I'm afraid to turn the release too hard in case that's not how you do it. Can someone please tell me how to change it? Thanks,
Pammyjo

My machine is really old - I got it right after we got married almost 29 years ago. I don't know what yours is like, but mine has a screw-like thing that sticks out the side of the piece that holds the needle. It looks like you could turn it with your fingers (kind of like a wing nut but flat) but also has a slot for using a screwdriver to loosen it. It only takes one turn to release the needle & the screw-like thing doesn't actually come off.

Does that help at all?

Pammy jo,

I have one of those too and mine doesn't sew either! Although I am completely sewing machine inept so I just put it down and forgot about it. I asked my mother in law if it looked right, threading and needle and stuff and she said it looked fine. It just won't sew! I tried paper, cloth, ribbon ...everything!

I thought you were looking for "mini" help with some crafty sewing. I didn't realize that you were naming the machine you have. :o

slinking away now . . . . . . ;)

Deb,
Too funny!

Anyway, I spent another 45 minutes on it today in total frustration. I just can't get it to sew! Anyone else out there with suggestions? I did by the way change the needlke finally, but to no avail.
