I'm sure I'm not the only one that this has happened to so I'm looking for some support. We got back 10 days ago and I have what I used to call "magic afterglow", or that Disney feeling that lasts well beyond vacation. But this time it's different. I am left with this deep desire, no - yearning to go back for another few days, as if I have unfinished business. It's almost an ache. Can any of you relate to this? It's bad to the point that I actually put together a mock plan for January just to see if it could work, however unpractical it may be. Surely there must be a rehab center that I can check into for this!

I can relate. I've been spending alot more time than usual on the disboards trying to hold onto that magical feeling you get after visiting Disney.

I'm with you. We just got back beginning of November. I've already planned my next trip in May. I think about an in between trip daily. It's pitiful.

Oh dear that's exactly what I'm doing right now! I can't get enough of the boards, it's keeping me close to WDW by proxy through those who are there currently or also just got home. I love you guys :lovestruc

Not pitiful, no no no. Some of us are more sensitive to the magic, maybe it's a gift.

Or possibly I'm pitiful right along with you.

I have Disney withdrawls every day.
I think I have a problem. lol. I plan trips all of the time, and sometimes I act on them, when I really shouldn't.

:grouphug: You're not alone.

I have withdrawl bad this time! I blame it on the fact that this was our best trip yet. It was pretty amazing and just left us wanting more. I am now trying to figure out how to get back next year.

Totally! Usually I can only muster up 3-4 days per year for Disney. I always say if I could stay for a solid week or 10 days, maybe I could "get it out of my system" and be ready to leave. But I am always sad to leave and feel like - as you said - I have unfinished business.

I find that planning fake trips helps me feel better, and being on the DISboards too. We are lucky (or maybe not!) that we can feel the magic of Disney, though. I am 25 and when I returned to the office from my last trip everyone was confused as to why I was going to Disney World as an adult with my mother! No one understands.

Anyway, yes - I totally know how you feel! If I didn't have two of the most adorable dogs on the planet waiting for me back home I probably never would have come back!!

I have a trip to Spring Training planned with one of my friends. We wanted to stay in Disney and go to the teams around that area, but the schedule just didn't work right. But I swear to you before March I will probably change my mind and convince her that we will make do with the Disney (Atlanta Braves) schedule and go there instead. LOL! It's like a drug!!!

I also have my financial advisor saying "you need to save more, what about retirement?" And my response is "but I have to go to disney! I'm not giving that up!" And he looks at me like I've lost my mind. Lol.

I'm in constant disney mode.

I can totally relate. We were there in September and the week after we got back was SO miserable. We have an October 2013 trip planned and I think about it daily. I am trying to squeeze in a trip in between, but I'm an accountant and work 60+ hours a week in the winter so there's no way it's going to happen in the winter!

We were there for 8 days and I can't believe I still have over 10 months until we go back. I hope I can make it!

Yes, I'm going through that as well. I got back almost two months ago and instead of feeling happy for months and months after the trip and living off the memories and feeling like I'm there just by looking at the pictures/videos, I'm pretty much depressed.

I really want to go back too but I don't know when I'll be able to go again. I knew I'd be a little sad to have to go back home, that happened on other trips too, but I could always look at the pictures and feel happy. Not this time.

I'm hoping this doesn't happen again the next time I go.

Oh yes, I have had it bad a few times. The first few times getting back I felt depressed. Last year I had it so bad that I went again 3 months later!

Every trip I take I suffer the withdraw as soon as I get home. Bad moods etc.... There needs to be some medication to make that feeling go away :rotfl2:

There is but it'll cut into your next Disney vacation money :lmao:

We just got back two days ago, and I cannot tear myself away from the DIS boards, stalking posts of people who are "Here Now!!" It's only helping a little.

I can relate as well too. Our last trip in September was fun but we still missed out on a lot of things (which also leads to guilt feelings) and makes me want to go back! I tried convincing DH for a quick Christmas trip this month financially it just wasn't possible.
My hardest part is knowing we're not going back next year as we have home improvements that will take up quite a bit of our "fun" funds so no Disney until 2014 and it actually depresses me.

Feel the same here. Just returned from a fabulous week of family Christmas fun at Disney. Had great weather!!!!!. Looking at the boards not so good this week, loved the new fantasy land test track, and of course the MVMCP... Can't wait to go back
