The original plan was to go straight into IOA for the Forbidden journey this morning but due to yesterdays failure of Gringotts we re-jigged again.

We are up at 6am and into Universal bang on 7. No warnings of Gringotts being down so we hot foot it into Diagon Alley. We are into the queue by 7.15 and find we are already about an hour away from riding. After 30 minutes queuing the area behind us looks like this:

People joining the back are already giving up and leaving! We are still in the very slow moving queue at 8am when they announce that the ride had broken down!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are not forthcoming with a time frame so we sit and wait and wait and wait. Eventually after the third announcement that the ride is down we give up along with many others and head out.
Gringotts Bank will just have to wait for another year. I refuse to queue for 2 hours for anything. My usual limit is 20 minutes.

We stroll back down to the entrance and grab a couple of breakfast croissants and some tea. A brief rummage through the shops and then we decide to ride Despicable Me, Only a 10 minute wait with the Express Pass. Its an OK ride but muddles my head, i just cannot cope with these simulators!! Walking back round we jump onto The Mummy with an Express Pass walk on.
We were going to do Rip Ride Rocket, but Paulet doesn't fancy it and Jack and I back out gracefully :)

Back into the heaving Diagon Alley to buy a couple of gifts for our DD and some Gringotts money as a souvenir

I need to checkout and empty the room so I leave Paulet and Jack to wander and plan to meet them in half hour outside the Studios. I walk back, check out and chuck the case into the car. Meet up with the family again and head into IOA.

We head straight up to Jurassic Park River Adventure as it was down yesterday

Feeling the need for lunch we drop into Thunder Falls Terrace and grab a table so we can watch the splash zone of Jurassic Park. 2 Bacon cheeseburger platters and one side salad with fries, plus sodas ($30.53)

Considering its standard counter service quick food, the burgers are rather tasty!

Seuss Landing beckons and we ride Cat in The Hat - well Paulet and I do. Jack waits outside.
We indulge in a little more retail therapy on the way out and some more hat shenanigans!

Apparently I blend very well into the Minion background :rotfl:

Before we head back to Disney we pop back into Universal so I can see Terminator 2 3D again and we take advantage of being close by to munch our way through Donut Sundaes at Lard Lad Donuts again! ( 3 sundaes + 3 waters $26.56)

I also pop into Mo's bar for a pic with Barney

We walk back to the car and quickly whiz our way down I4 to Disney and home to Saratoga Springs.

My consummate planning skills (:rotfl2:) are working and we have an ADR at 'home' at the Turf Club.

We choose to sit outside we absolutely love the peace and quiet and calmness of this restaurant. Our server Tobi is fantastic she chats and is super efficient. Paulet and I share a bottle of Sav Blanc. Jack and I have the NY Strip steak whilst Paulet has the Lamb Chops.

Paulet used to rate Lamb as her favourite meat but had gone off it a little lately. This meal has firmly planted it back to no.1 She said it was fantastic.

Desserts were a sorbet assortment for Jack, Lemon Curd mousse for me and a Chocolate Espresso Torte for Paulet.

We all really enjoyed our meal here, the food and surroundings and atmosphere were first rate. At one time even the chef came out and said Hi and asked how are meal was!

We paid for our wine plus the tip and retired to the bar. A Yuengling for Jack, Stella for me and a blue glowtini for Paulet. ($24.75)

Jack and I had a couple of games of pool too. Not sure if it ever gets busy in here as its only a small area, but today theres just a few of us here.
