The Seven Seas Lagoon will be drained or dredged the week of September 26th for one to two weeks. They are notifying those with weddings that they will not be able to use the Wedding Pavilion due to the noise and unsightly conditions. If it is only being dredged and not drained, can boat operations continue?
It was first reported here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2789617 and then on the Grand Floridian thread.
A Disney Wedding Planner told a DISer this morning that it seems that the Lagoon is actually being dredged and not drained (though there is some confusion about this) and it is the construction noise that they feel would disrupt the weddings and that is why Disney has told them they must change their venue. One bride was offered the top of BLT as an alternative.
This must be directly related to the GF DVC construction. The boundary for the project extends into the Lagoon between the beach near the pool and the beach near the Wedding Pavilion.
