Thanks everyone!! No, we aren't driving this time, although that's a distinct possibility for future trips if flights stay this high). We're staying in an airport hotel tomorrow night, and then going to Royal Pacific at Universal for 2 nights and then finally making it to our first stay at AKL.

We've been to Jiko before and fell in love with the atmosphere at the hotel, but we've never stayed there. Never had a zebra dome, and never eaten at Boma. Many firsts for this trip.

Actually, yes. Our bedroom has mirrored closet doors and I was posting from my phone so yes a mirror image of myself was beside me.

Does anyone know if AKL is using the new coffee pots that use pods? I stupidly put ground coffee and filters on our garden grocer order. No big deal I guess since I can bring it home unopened. But I would run out and get some pods before we get there. I'm a big coffee drinker

Have a wonderful trip - please post when you get back about your stay. I think I mentioned this before (maybe on the "May trips" thread), but we're doing almost the same vacation in August. Can't wait to hear what you think!

I managed to get the DVC points I wanted and we are spending our last night at AKL in a Savanna view at Kidani. So, we get 7 nights at CSR (our first stay there) and get an extra night that we originally weren't going to have to stay at my dream resort. I can't wait to wake up and look out at the Savanna. Hopefully I don't get too spoiled because I may never be able to go back again. The next trip will be with the kids, so it will likely be at POP.

One night is better than no nights. Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed for good flight prices.

CSR is very nice. You will enjoy your stay there. Congrats on getting AKV for your last night! We Jamborinis and Kidanites are fairly certain you will fall in love! It's an incredible place to stay, with or without the kids! Don't convince yourself you may never stay there again. Renting points could make it possible for a future trip. Think split stay: POP/AKV!!

Good Morning all,

I'm in the process of renting points for a studio villa, but at the moment the only studio's available are in Kidani. I stayed in a regular room last year in Jambo House and loved it and would prefer to stay there again. I have asked to be waitlisted for Jambo House just in case something opens up, but put my mind at ease about staying at Kidani if Jambo does not become available.
