I'm sooo excited!! :yay::yay::yay:

I managed to get the DVC points I wanted and we are spending our last night at AKL in a Savanna view at Kidani. So, we get 7 nights at CSR (our first stay there) and get an extra night that we originally weren't going to have to stay at my dream resort. I can't wait to wake up and look out at the Savanna. Hopefully I don't get too spoiled because I may never be able to go back again. The next trip will be with the kids, so it will likely be at POP.

One night is better than no nights. Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed for good flight prices.

Awesome! Expect to be spoiled, it's a wonderful place! CSR is fun, you'll have a fabulous trip!

Good Morning all,

I'm in the process of renting points for a studio villa, but at the moment the only studio's available are in Kidani. I stayed in a regular room last year in Jambo House and loved it and would prefer to stay there again. I have asked to be waitlisted for Jambo House just in case something opens up, but put my mind at ease about staying at Kidani if Jambo does not become available.

Thanks
Stephen

Stephen a lot of people love Kidani over Jambo House, both resorts have their own personality, you'll have a fabulous trip regardless :)

Good morning. I have safely arrived in Los Angeles. The plan for today is Long Beach with Graham during the day and then Disneyland with my friend Sue tonight.

So , I have a question....we have only stayed Savannah view at Jambo, and we are going to try to get Value at Jambo (DVC), if not, we are thinking of just staying standard which I understand is mostly pool view.

Those that have stayed both Savannah view and pool view...pool view is not bad is it? Trying to save some points....We,, DH wants to :headache:

The Kidani rooms are larger and were well-planned. Jambo's villas were retro-fitted. Each has its advantages, so either way you will have a great vacation! :thumbsup2

Pool View will keep you close to the lobby (which, to me, is a really good thing! ;)) Value will too, but depending on how many people, Value rooms can feel a bit, well, :crowded:!

I wouldn't hesitate to book pool view. :cloud9:

We tried for value at 8 months out and missed them so had to go standard too... there is only two of us so it would have worked out great but I can't complain about a pool view either! :thumbsup2

Thank you! You have eased my mind :goodvibes
We don't spend all that much time in the room anyway..

Newbie question... Sorry, it the sunset safari for club level only? If not, how do you book it?
TIA:wizard:

You sound like me .... I always want to stay at Jambo for various reasons ... Mara, pool etc but on my last trip only Kidani was available so I braved it and stayed there. I enjoyed it .... very peaceful and quiet .... great to be the first bus stop .... Sanaa is my favorite. That being said I would still rather be at Jambo but since it was a solo trip I wanted to be more in the middle of the action. But it is a very quick and easy walk between the two. I would be very happy staying at either .... both are wonderful, beautiful resorts. :goodvibes

We have a pin code for a standard room only -- I'm not expecting an upgrade at all (although that would be lovely), but do you guys think it'll be possible to pay for a pool view upgrade when we get there? It's not much more than standard and it'll ensure we don't overlook the parking lot.

It IS available to book with our pin code for just a bit more, but I didn't book it on the off chance we can get an upgrade. Looks like there's plenty of room the week we're there -- everything is available.

Sounds wonderful. Glad you're there safely. How long was the journey to LA?

I've never thought of this before, but I'm sure they would if it's available. The only thing is will it be more than what you could have gotten with the pin?

BTW, I'm a fellow Fraggle Rock fan. Loved that they finally put them all on DVD in the last few years.

I'm not sure, but I'll report back. Online, the difference is less than $100.

Huge Fraggle Rock fan! We have the DVDs, athough DD isn't a fan. Kids these days :rolleyes2
