Home resort is SSR. WHich we booked at the 11 month window....but was able to do all 11 nights in a standard studio, just shortly after the 7 month window...Got my ressies in for at least 7 of my days...Just not sure if we're going to do TiW, or buy the DDP. Still trying to figure which would be better.

We stayed at SSR in December and it was just lovely. 11 nights will be wonderful!

I totally agree with what everyone has been saying. Crunch the numbers and see what would work best. I actually went to the menus added up the most expensive things we would have gotten and it did not make sense to do the dining plan so got the TiW. Dining plan would have cost more than the food we would have chosen. That's just us though, we usually like apps better than entrees and with the TiW you're not 'forced' to eat more food than you normally would.

My flight landed in ATL last night shortly before the storms struck GA.

Our area (Loganville/Grayson/Lawrenceville) had the worst storms (tornado warning) around 1:45am, but no damage to our subdivision. I haven't ventured out yet.

Watching the news coverage this morning is just heartbreaking. Although Georgia got slammed, other areas were literally wiped off the map. Too many lives lost.

We have been moderate people last few years. Dying to stay here. Is it worth the extra $? What is the extra perks of this deluxe compared to the moderate? It looks fairly big, is it easy enough to get around inside? I am really thinking about this place, it looks so neat. And has anyone done the sunrise safari? Wondering if that is worth it...

It is so worth the extra $s. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the resorts I've stayed in over the years, but AKL has become my favorite. Very easy to get around. All the rooms are in one building so you don't have to traipse to another building for anything. Sunrise Safari is only available to club level guests but it is very worth it to do at least once like Alison mentioned. I think a good way to try this resort out is with a nice room discount which they give at least a few times a year. And if you can't go during one of the discount times you can always do a split stay to cut down on the cost.

We are driving to WDW for the first time later this month. We have always used WDW transportation, but will have a car to use this time to go from park to park, etc. I have looked at maps but I guess until I get there its all greek to me as to how to get from point A to B - I have printed directions from AKL to AK, MK, DHS and Epcot and those seem pretty straightforward. What I cant figure out if off site places to eat and how to get to those places (addresses, etc). We are tired of park food and would like just some fast food out or maybe a couple of kid friendly sit down restaurants. Can anyone provide any direction....please?

That's what they want you to think, but at $42pp and you are limited to what you can eat, that doesn't seem free to me. We probably spend that much per day, but would never eat 2 CS meals, and we usually only want one TS entree & dessert, the rest we get apps at TS and split snacks to supplement our CS meal that we split. TIW wins every time for us especially with the adult beverages!

1st off I'm sorry I made a mistake in this post. I forgot to mention that @ the 7 month window I was able to get a studio standard at BWV. Not that I'm dissing my home resort, but I thought I might never get the chance to stay at all, let alone 11 nights.

2nd: That's what I've been doing. Either pricing higher items, or going to the typical restaurants that we head to , and choose those items generally that I eat... It appears Tiw, is starting to take over....70 - 30..LoL Thnx for the extra info...

Wow, that is nice! I couldn't figure out what you were able to do at the 7 month mark so just assumed you were still at SSR.
