Firstly Congratulations on your upcoming trip!

Secondly, they're not that far from each other. 10 minutes max. It's really just the parking lot seperating them. But, you can always take the DTD bus from Jambo to get to Kidani, and any bus but the DTD from Kidani will go to Jambo House.

Fingers crossed they'll be able to get into Jambo and it won't be an issue at all.

Thank you so much!
I am crossing my fingers that there will be a studio left at all for them for the dates. I just made the request for them so we'll see. They could always stay in a regular room and I could try to book with my AP discount. So we have options :). I am such a planner and have had everything booked for awhile now, so this is just some extra work. But the payoff is a trip with Nana and Papa. They haven't been to Disney aside from day trips in the 80's!!!
We go quite a bit. So it makes it all new and exciting again. Plus, my kids are thrilled!! We're all taking a very relaxed approach to the trip, have some great ground rules to avoid hurt feelings and I'm just excited to make some memories!!:goodvibes

Well bad news for renting points for a studio at AKV for my inlaws. Davids dvc informed us there wasn't a studio to be had anywhere but SSR. I knew it was a long shot. So it's on to plan B. They can make a reservation for an AKL room directly through Disney. Sadly that works out to be 1000 dollars more even with the discount being offered. Our only other thought is for them to stay at CSR as it's the closest mod. I am disappointed because I liked the thought of all us being at the same resort. But we are locked in to our reservation, and I don't think they want to spend an extra thousand.
I am sure it will all work out somehow. Just a little disappointed.

I am sorry that this did not work out for you.

Thanks - we're really looking forward to it! Any my husband and I just decided to do a Disney Cruise for our 20th in May 2013 :cool1: I'll have to add another ticker - never had two tickers before

What cruise are you planning on doing? We are hoping to do the Los Angeles to Vancouver Repo and the first Alaskan cruise of the season in May 2013.

I would love to do Alaska! Unfortunately, the airfare from Pittsburgh is outrageous and can't afford that right now :headache:

We're looking at a 4-night cruise to the Bahamas. Our anniversary is May 1st, and there's only one cruise that overlaps that date, so that's what we're going for! It's on the Dream - this is our first cruise, so we thought we'd "try it out" and hopefully get the kids with us on another one is a couple of years....

I know what you mean. We are coming from the UK and the air fare to Vancouver is at least 50% more expensive than flying to Los Angeles. That is why we are planning to fly into Los Angeles, take the Repo cruise up to Vancouver, do the Alaska cruise, take the train from Vancouver to San Francisco and fly back from there.

That sounds awesome! You get two cruises and a train ride :thumbsup2 I looked at flying into Seattle and renting a car, but that has it's own issues...well, maybe we'll plan Alaska for my son's high school graduation in 3 years...

I'm sorry to hear that. They might be willing to pay, have you talked to them yet? Sorry if I'm being too nosey. They might think its worth it to be close to the grand kids. I love your positive attitude, it will definitely work out :)

I am waiting until the cruise to book this as I will get some discount and a nice OBC when booking on board.

Hmmm, I don't think anyone has posted the activities in quite some time. :confused3

OK Jamborinis: who has the most recent calendar? :flower3: (mine is from last summer so it's pretty "dated" already :sad2:)
