We are staying at AKL CL for the first time July 2013 and for me this isn't a big deal as the Zebra domes, sadly, aren't vegetarian. My sister and the rest of my family will however be sad if the aren't offered at least one of the 13 nights we will be there.

I just started packing yesterday. I cannot wait! I'm keeping my eye on that Tree of Life thread. If any part of AK is closed we will probably add a sunrise safari to our trip plans and skip going to AK entirely while we are there.

You do know that the Sunrise Safari is at AK... You have to use a park ticket to go on that.

Hi everyone! We stayed at Jambo in September and instantly fell in love!! We are so excited to surprise our little ones this weekend with a trip back, but this time we're staying at Kidani because no savannah view rooms were available at Jambo.

Will we love Kidani as much as we did Jambo? We love the excitement and size of Jambo, and I keep hearing how quiet and small Kidani is. We did visit Kidani's pool and really liked the water play area. I just hope we get the same homey, warm feeling we did at Jambo. Are they really that much different?

Iam new to DIS and to this thread. We will be doing our first AKL trip July 1-14, 2013. We will be staying CL and are so excited!!! I made it through page 50 and will go back to finish up my reading in this thread but wanted to post a quick hello so I could join in the fun

You can get them by the 5 pack in the Mara, down stairs of Jambo House... I think it is $3.49 for them or something close to that, we have always just gone down and bought a pack... If you eat at the buffet restaurant Boma, they are in the dessert section!

So no worries, plenty of time to get them...

Oh no! We've also stayed CL 3 times and there were Zebra Domes in the lounge every time. We have dinner at Boma once each trip, though, so we also find them there...

I've seen them in the lounge each trip we have taken, but I guess it's just luck. Like others have said, you can find them at Boma and at the Mara. How nice that you can stay at AKL for 13 nights!!!

FYI....

Because of expected high occupancy, you cannot pool hop during the following dates this year:

February 19 to 25
March 31 to April 14
May 26 to 28
June 29 to July 7
August 31 to September 3
November 19 to 25
December 16 to Jan 5 of 2013
Disney has the option to add more blackout dates, if they choose, should the resorts fill to capacity.
