Please forgive me here- I may have asked this before in my many months of planning, but.... How the heck are we (2 adults) going to be able to ride 7DMT? Didn't get to ride this the last time we were at WDW in March 2015, and now darn it, it's my MISSION!!!
Staying offsite, Nov 29-December 11th. Attending the Nov 29th MVMCP. Making my fastpasses now, but every single day says this ride is not available for fastpasses! I do plan a couple of rope drop days at MK, but have read that even then, the standby line is still incredibly long for this ride. I've searched the forums, but couldn't find an answer! HELP Me please!!!:worship:

ride at rope drop, or during the party, or about 5 minutes before park closing, or during the fireworks. Those are the times your line will be shortest. There will be some kind of wait, but not a terrible one.

Thank you! These were my plans, but wasn't sure if they would work!

If you are 2 adults that can move well, then at rope drop you can go straight to 7DMT (do not go through the castle, go between the castle and the teacups) and you will be faster than anyone in a scooter, pushing a stroller or dragging young kids! In 2014 we went at rope drop (2 adults, DS14, DS12) and both mornings we were ahead of the group and we were on the ride within 10 minutes of park opening!

Not to panic. Like others have said, rope drop is a great option. And during the Christmas party. We did both of these last trip. You will be fine.

As PPs have mentioned, go at rope drop & (@kelmcg) even provided directions so follow that. If you are late nighters, then consider closing out MK with a ride. Personally, I wouldn't waste my precious MVMCP time on the ride. However, have you checked to see if you can get FP+ for betw 4pm-6pm on the day of your MVMCP reservation? I've done this with the Halloween party & grabbed a pre-party FP betw 4-6pm for the ride easily. If the Christmas party is like the Halloween party, you should be able to enter MK at 4pm with your party ticket.

Very few lines at WDW are "incredibly long" near park opening. Longer than we'd like, sure. But on normal days, you get in line, have something to occupy your attention - which may be something as simple as a companion to talk to - and after a while, you're at the front of the line, on the ride, off the ride, and done.
Admittedly, 7DMT is particularly annoying because almost the whole queue is under a low roof that amplifies the noise. But this can be overcome. It's all in how you approach the event.

Sadly, there is no current nighttime parade because that was a perfect time to get in line for it. I did that one time and the sign said 70 minute wait. I decided that I wanted to ride it so I was prepared to bite the bullet and wait the 70 minutes. I started walking down the queue, kept walking, no real crowd ahead, got on the ride, rode it, and was walking out the queue in 20 minutes. That was during the parade. I suspect that the same thing applies with the Castle projection show. Or maybe even the 3pm parade will work as well.

We aren't often in the park at closing, so our plan when we don't have a FP for something big is to get to rope drop EARLY. Like, one hour early. Be at the front. Go straight to 7DMT and don't stop for anything - no pictures, no nothing. If you do this, you shouldn't have a big, if any, wait.

Yup, I reserved FP's for pre party, but was only able to get two fastpasses - between 3:40- 6:00ish. Of course there were no 7DMT passes available.

Yup- 2 adults, able bodied, and can sprint if we need to! Thank you!!!

OK, this is the plan! Morning show outside, front of the rope drop crowd, no stopping, no pix, no potty stops even!!!! Wish me luck! :yay:

Have fun! You could probably even do it twice if you want to get immediately back on after riding once.

FWIW, it's a very short ride. I thought it was cute, and I'm glad we got to do it, but I would've been mad if I waited long to get on.

I know, it may be a letdown, but really at this point, it's just the principal of the thing, ya know?! :)
