Does anyone know if the SDMT will have a photo op? Trying to decide on MM or not. This might be the deciding factor.

So, I missed getting SDMT FP+ for May 30 when they were first released. We don't arrive until early evening, so getting day-of FP+ that morning at a kiosk will not be possible. Are there any day-of FP+s that get released that I can access from a computer that morning before we arrive at WDW or a kiosk? If so, are they released at midnight Eastern time or at park opening time or???
Forgive me for not reading this or FP+ entire threads - though I've read some - I am getting overwhelmed with planning successes and failures

Yes it seems they hold some for the day of so you should be able 2 snag one

Did you have previous FastPass+ scheduled for May 30th? If so, did you go in and "Replace" an existing FastPass+ with an attempt to grab the Mine Train? If so, it will only show you times for the current FastPass+ your replacing it with or outside any current existing FP+.

Therefore, if there aren't any times for Mine Train for that exact timeframe your replacing it with OR outside of your two other FastPass+ times, then nothing is available that day.

I just got back today & was there since Sunday. When I was in MK yesterday afternoon, I saw they were running the trains. I asked the CM standing at the front entrance if they would be doing soft openings & he said no.

I was at AK today & a CM told me they heard on the radio this morning that it was open to the public. I didn't bother rushing over there at that point. I figured if that was the case, I'd like to avoid the craziness there. Then I heard on a local radio station as I got home earlier that it was open. I thought the official date they announced was the 28th? Unless they were doing a soft opening later in the day or at night?

Heard from someone who is there. No soft opening but some trains running. Obvious workers still on tracks from warning announcements. After train ran I heard lots of error messages being read out so thinking it might wait.

Also no hope of secret start up since it is out in the open

Walked by this morning and we were told by the CM standing outside that it will be opening may 28th and if they are doing any soft openings they haven't been told... So who knows! Still holding out we leave Monday afternoon!

I still find it hard to believe they are not going to practice running the ride with actual guests coming through the line until the very morning it opens with people having "locked in" that ride with FP+ for that day.

I mean..... what could possibly go wrong?
