Glad you made it!
Who went? Me and my DH, we have no kids. Both of us are around the 30 year mark.
Day 2: Wednesday before T-day
Beacuse we got in so late we slept in just a bit. But I wanted to get up and out, the food at Epcot was calling me! We grabbed a light breakfast at the food court. We don't really like eating there, I don't feel that it's very good. We did notice that this time around our food court has sushi!!!!!!! I'm in heaven. Too bad they didn't have any for breakfast.
Cought the bus for Epcot, we never had any problems with the busses this time. They were generally there when we needed them w/o any long waits. Must have been the magic!
Anyway, I had to trade in my old passes that they had to hand stamp for the new passes with the magnetic strip on them. Not a prob but they wouldn't let me keep my old ones! They would have been nice in my scrapbook. We talked to a lot of people in line but saw no green ribbons the whole time we were down there.
So now we were in Epcot, our most favoritest place on earth. And behold! There is int BIG BALL! I really like the Mickey hand. It shimmers in the sun. The Christmas decorations are out but the music is not on yet. The normal music is. I'm glad, I like the Dis music better.
We did only World Showcase this day. We went straight to the Millinium Pavillion and walked around. There were not many people about. We ate lunch there. I had a shrimp with pineapple sandwich on an orange and coconut roll and Seth had some veggie rolls and a chicken peanut sandwich. Very good! We liked the MP, espically the eggs from Sweeden(?) and the shopping. The Jereusleum ride was neat, but it made us think that the 3 religions could live there in peace, which we know right now that they can not.
We went on around the World, stopping where we wanted, and finally got to Japan where we had our much beloved Kaki-gori. Cherry. Why is this shaved ice so much better than anywhere else? We almost froze eating it, it was still very cold out even with the sun. We found lots of things to buy in Japan, lots of origami paper and sushi plates. What fun! We had it all delivered to our room. We traveled all the way around the World, not eating much else beacuse we had ressies at Le Cellier and didn't wan to ruin our appetites. I think we got a Viking Helmet cookie in Norway. The chocolate was very good.
Now it was time for Le Cellier. This is a great place. We had our PS's and we got in about on time, but as we were waiting we heard the woman say they were not taking any walk-ins. The 2nd day we were in Epcot we heard someone say it was booked up 1st thing in the morning. So make your PS'S! We ate the breadsticks, yummy, and ordered the Maple Glazed Salmon for me and the Mushroom Stuffed Fillet for Seth. MMMmmmmmmmmmmmm. I can taste it now. We were so full we opted for no dessert. I wish we had. I would have liked to try the Millinium dessert. A chocolate Spaceship Earth filled with Maple Butterfinger Mousse. Sigh.
As we walked out we noticed the TON parade was starting. It was so crowded in England so we walked and watched. I couldn't believe it. I'd never seen anything like this before. When it was over all I could do was just hug Seth and cry. I was in the place I most wantd to be with the person I most wanted to be with, and very happy.
An aside, if you go to the store in the International Gateway, they have a contest going on. The night we were there it was "where is the hidden Mickey in France?" We answered correctly and got a pin for trading! It is part of the shrubbery in the garden. Also, there is supposed to be one in the France film. Somewhere in the wedding scene I think. If you know, please e-mail me!
Ok, are you tired yet? I'm making myself hungry. So I'll finish up so I can eat lunch!
We waited in Morocco for the 2nd TON parade and loved it as much the 1st time. We turned around and the fireworks went off. We had chosen a good place. There was not a crowd and this was constantly amazing me. It was freezing out though. 40 degrees. I couldn't get my fingers to work! We walked out through Mouse Works on the way out. This is really big! We promised to come back and shop later on so the castmembers let us go without us having to give them our credit cards. (which we will do willingly later!) It was good to get inside and get warm!
Coming soon: day 3
Thanksgiving, V & A's, early entry at MK, and MGM
