Good Morning Everyone!!

Did I miss it?? Did you all set the date for the Ya-Ya meet?? I wanna come too!!!!:D

The girls all did really well last night.....they didn't kep ayone awake too late;) Today I promised to take them shopping...........
I'm beginning to think I must be crazy
looney.gif
because I really get a kick out of them sometimes!!
They always make me laugh!:p

So...what's everyone up to today??

I wish I could come too but there are many reasons I cant. I dont fly and because its right after our big vacation I cant afford the tremendous train fare it would cost to get there and the time off work. I would have to add more days because of the travel time on the train. I will have to live vicariously through you all.

Laura, we're in discussion about the date. Jodie has picked the 18-21st of July, but that may not be good for Jennifer and possibly not for me. (depends on the promotion)

Elaine-Columbus Zoo
Outlet malls
Tuttle's Crossing
IMAX

That's off the top of my head.

Morning! :)

Just popped on for a bit, so can't fully ketchup. DH is going to make me a ham & cheese omelet for breakfast. YUM! :)

Thanks for the post about Julian, Jodie. Sorry to hear your DD hemorrhaged (sp?). :( I've been keeping an eye on him. He wants to eat lots & lots and I've been slowing him down. Hard to make a 6 yo understand, though. And you know what? His voice has changed. It is soo strange.

I did see the post about things to do in Ohio. I am 30-40 minutes from Cedar Point, so there is that. Not much to do in Lorain, but I am just outside of Cleveland and we have the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Great Lakes Science Center, The Flats (lots of restaurants and ent.), Tower City Center (shopping) and The Galleria (more shopping). That is all I can think of right now. :teeth:

Gonna go shopping for a bracelet today. If I can't find any around here, I'll order online. :)

Beccy, my t-shirt size is L or XL. I like them big. :teeth:

Gotta run!!

Thanks Bonnie for that list... really living here so long has made me forgotten all we do have here. We have tons of shopping everywhere around here, and a bunch of cool things to do (restaurants, shops, movies) in our Arena district. We have some neat museums in the area and a really cool Flower/nature conservatory (where my sister is getting married) here too. I'll think of more as time goes by I am sure.

Beccy,
I wear a medium t-shirt.

oh where are Pam and Marilyn when you're having a GROSS-OUT? I can blame it on them...

Hey - I think I should be insulted??!!  We aren't gross - are we?? And yes, I did catch the "stiff" remark!:p

My guys are home from the winter camporee - turns out that everyone else wienied out last night and it ended up being just my DS, DH and another Scout and his Dad toughing it out for the 2nd night! And it only got down to around 7º, too. They listened to the Steelers game on a combo lantern/radio thing my DS had!:D

DD went late night bowling and didn't get home until after 2:00 am - so........ I have an upset stomach, DS didn't get home until after 9:30 am, and of course DD is still in bed - needless to say, we didn't go to Church.:(

Pam

WHOA!!! I just threw that date out for a starting point ya'll....it's not MY decision ok? We all need to pick a date that is convenient to most of us!! Any other ideas???

OKAY....recap for Jan. 11th, 2003...another 12 mothy pages!!!

Michele started the day off with talk of a grand prix race in which her family competed and did veeeery well!!!!!

Even Bonnie is looking at charms, and she needs to watch her mail this week and she is a little afraid....heh heh heh!

Charms discussed: Mickey and Minnie kissing...awwwww , flesh colored, hula, flag, and fish

Jodie's shovelling out years of "kid clutter" to make room for the "Dream overhaul machine"!!!

Debster fled to the safety of the Ya Yas from the likes of Beetlejuice, and we shared rooms and cabin boys, beverages and food and were very glad she sought shelter here!! Anytime Deb!!!

Carol is going to WDW in December...WOOOHOOOO...and many Ya Yas will make the supreme sacrifice to visit the house of mouse to meet our International Ya Ya!!! Beth will be there Dec. 11- 14th, Sherry is going in December...Marilyn too...and Dream is tossing the idea around as well!!

There was talk of dis-con and understanding, stomach bugs and Cheetos in Karen's dh's nose and Jeannies parking ticket woes!

Jodie's recap was a little interesting editorially speaking!

Jennifer and Pam got what they were "missing" as they "found the magic" with their dh's and frankly their smiling faces all day long became quite annoying!!!!;)

Jay was missed, there was more talk of chilly quarters and how to count them and what a "working man" needs to do to get to WDW in the Spring ...and the "Jay hula" pic resurfaced for Betty's viewing pleasure and Bonnie suggested that Jay may prefer his face to be plastered on Hula Santa instead....Jay? And we hope Jay feels better today.

Marilyn showed us her lovely afghan but there were no antlers in her bedroom which made us wonder if this was indeed a cover for her REAL room filled with jungle vines and her precious tank??

The question was posed...is even the RE-CAP too much for shep??? Shep?

Karen's hair is beginning to look like a reverse skunk and Pam's grey is peeking through but dd got the makeover $$ for the month and Kim is thinking about cutting her hair and going RED and getting a new monitor and Marilyn is a natural blonde who NEVER needs to color her hair!!!!!

Bonnie's "RL" friends think that Jodie is nuts...and the problem is???

Kim called us floozzies, Jeannie was singing and flinging zingers and thinks Marilyn is June Cleaver and suggests our next Ya YA abode be a prison ward, Indian dhaba, car wash or Turkish Bath....Jeannie needs to get more sleep.

Nancy noted we are actually headed to a fantasy island!!! OOOOKAYYYY!!!!

Jay went to Monte Carlo in a dinghy and made a comment about the "lLove Boat" and was concerned that the smoothies were spiked...NEVER MY SMOOTHIES....only mixed with pixie dust!

Betty said Jodie was full of it;)

Jennifer got a headache from her Girl Scouts singing along with Avril Levine...and Jodie totally understands!!!

Elaine says WE talk too much and her purchase of the day was a NEW CELL PHONE!!!

Marilyn wears Dingo boots when she drives the tank...oh Zurgy!!!!

Laura and jennifer's dds had sleepovers...Jodie wishes them lots of strong coffee today!

Jodie posted a prayer that reminded her of Ya Yas

Pam trekked thru the snow to take food to a starving Boy Scout who bailed on the chilly canp out before she arrived...WHAT a WOMAN!!! And Pam has a caterer who's business is called "Have Roadkill Will Scrape Gourmet" and she will share the number with any interested party!

Beth did NOT go tot the mall and Beth and Beccy like guys with "nice hands"

Jodie had the house to herself for the evening and she dised till she dropped and "PARTY WAS AT DREAM"S"

There was serious "Meet talk"

Jennifer wouldn't take Jodie in if she showed up on her doorstep with her suitcase but that's ok cause bonnie WILL...thanks roomie!

Nutsy had breakfst at the beach

Kim was in a funk but we helped her find her smile!

GP confused skinny dipping with "something else" but Jodie set him straight.:teeth: which made him run away but he later proved he wasn't "afraid of a few harmless little Ya Yas" by posting a pic with his face on a hunky "muscle man" bod with a promise to "be back"!

Don't try to say "funk free" three times fast!! And "one thing Ya Yas do do
is support eachother thru thick and thin"

Jodie spent the night on the Lido deck making wishes on falling stars

Jay wants Stacy and Natalie back and Bonnie couldn't sleep and Nancy, Betty, carol, Jeannie and Kim talked the night away cause they were "bored" and jeannie had to pee and Betty said TMI and Jeannie called us GRANDMAS and got properly threatened by Kim!!! And Carol's cabin boy is a dead man and Roland has "stiff competition" ANNNNND

this ends another typical day with the Ya Yas!!!!

Oh the meet.....probably not, but I won't know for awhile for sure. So...make your plans. The days are good....I don't care about the place (although I don't do heat well and I'm not a roller coaster person either).

Got some heavy expenses coming up (well some already here...two kids books just racked up $800!!)
Gotta get a new couch and new kitchen flooring this spring and then there are the two trips to pay for.....so depends on if anything is left after that.

Thanks Nancy & Pam! I'm sitting here DIS'ing while eating my SECOND ham & cheese omelette! :teeth:

Dream said:

yer dernt git teu see the real goofus in his Breeches in the parks.....dew yer! ;)

:teeth:

Well now GP...of course we don't expect you to post the "real" Goofus in...ahem...scanty attire here for all to see...which is why you, of course, only pasted your own face on this..ahem...er...um...muscle bound pic of some stranger!! We do appreciate your modesty. But just who IS this muscle bound stranger??? Because, you see, he has piqued my interest in a most...um...interesting way!!!:teeth:  ;) So do tell...who is this "masked man"???

Happy Birthday Sherry!!!!!!

Jodie, thanks for that recap there... always love them :teeth:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHERRY!!!!!

Hope it's the best ever!!

Jodie, I absolutely love your recaps and must tell you how much I appreciate them! Thank you!! With all these mothy sisters and bothers and special visitors, it is a daunting task.

Update, I was a week off on our Dec. trip to WDW and I will be there when Carol is!!!! We've already PMed back and forth and plan to get together for a little Ya Ya mini-meet. Michele and Karen?? Since you are "locals", can you get together with us? Our overlap time is Dec. 3-6, DH & I leave on the 7th. I know it's almost a year away, but at least pencil it in on your calendars so we can plan somewhere down the road?

Now about the July Ya Ya meet. I have noted that many of you are not big on roller coasters, so should we scrap the idea of CP? The idea of renting a big cabin in a state park or something sounds like a great idea. I would venture a guess that a large portion of our meet will be spent yakking it up, so do we really want pre-fab entertainment? Seems to me that a pool, a blender for smoothies, and supply of Cheetohs to throw at each other would just about fill the bill! Hiking/walking trails for those who want excercise, maybe a nice restaurant or club for one evening. Lots of possibilities to make our own entertainment--games like Guesstures or Pictionary or even good old Charades, a karaoke, or DVD/VHS movies featuring our favorite cabin boys would provide plenty of opportunity for hilarity. Scrapbookers and knitter/crocheters could bring and show off some of their stuff. We could even make a memory book of the weekend while we're there (Polaroids or 1-hour developing). Just some ideas/options to throw into the mix. Feel free to vote any and all of these ideas out, I won't be hurt.

HELP!!!!!!

This is NOT a good morning!!! Someone that knows about Windows XP Home Edition please tell me what the heck is going on here:

At boot up, Windows XP gave an error message saying that my personal preferences could not be loaded due to some sort of file corruption. I can't access my email, my desktop, nada, zip zilcho. GRRRR!!!! After clicking OK on that error message window, then it said that it was creating a temp. profile and that any changes I made to this temp. profile would be lost upon reboot... Ran virus scan, came up clean... now what?!? :( Tom is considering system restore... is this a good idea or no? Guess I'll start a new thread on this in case there's someone out there that could help me, but had to come here to vent for a minute first. ARGH!!!!!!!! I can't get to my eeeeeeee-mail!!! ACK!!!!

Kim you should be able to restore to a previous date. Tim has done that before but remember you will lose anything that was done after that date. Start a new thread and ask though. You'll get more answers that way.
