I finally got notice that my charms have shipped!! 'Bout time!!

And now on a more serious note....

For those of you interested...here is an article that appeared in today's Seattle times regarding Christin's friend, Kayla.
Apparently it is a genetic heart problem, she will wear the defibrillator the rest of her life, her basketball career is over.....but she retains her scholarship....and she's alive thanks to quick thinking friends.

Elaine...I'm so glad Luis is alright. I hate driving in ice/snow/rain/fog...hum, just about anything.

Visit with Geoff was alright, if ya like cleaning icky "boy rooms". But we did get to go to lunch.

How is your DD's friend handling the news? She must be very happy to be alive - but it would have to be a crushing blow to have to end playing on the team.
And - so, you will soon be jingling your charms as well?

She is ready to go back to school.

Nancy, it is so good to hear Kayla is all right. That is one amazing story and being able to keep her scholarship is like frosting on the cake! It will be a difficult adjustment, I'm sure, but it sounds like she is one tough cookie and them's the kind that makes it!

OMG Pam! I ordered a charm bracelet too. Are my charms are dangling??!! And here I thought my standard issue white underwear was keeping everything in place!

Elaine, probably not going to the meet. It is not in my "driving distance". Have a problem with that. Also, have blood tests scheduled that day. Don't want to miss them because of a possible elevation in my blood sugar.
