Been busy packing Jonathan's suitcase. He's going to camp tomorrow-Weds. This will be the first time he's been away from us w/out a family member along.

Just back from DS's hockey game.......they tied. Not as good as winning but not as bad as losing in DS's opinion

This weekend was wonderful in one way & not so wonderful in another. Wonderful=baby Lucas
Not so wonderful=DH coming home on Frday night to tell me he was laid off He's an engineer and the company he works for is really struggling right now.) They let 15 or 20 people go on Friday & called it the first wave of layoffs. Some of the guys had 20 years seniority They aren't sure if or when they'll be able to call people back so now DH has to find a new job. It's been pretty rough around here this weekend.
I just re-read this post & it really is a bit depressing....sorry....

Aww Laura...I'm so sorry. {{{hugs}}} and lots of prayers he finds another job soon. We did the out of job thing for 7 months...it's stressful so make sure you come vent and lean on yaya friends!!! If you ever want to get together I'm right up the road......

I'm sorry! You really have had a stinky weekend! The last 2.5 years have been tough on us as well. We are self-employed and the truck transportation business ((where all of our business is derived) has been hit hard. Had a couple of false rallies and then it slips again. Still, I'm hopeful for the New Year. Hope your DH finds a job right away!

I think a tie in the hockey game is great!

OK...somebody give me a link to a bracelet site....I can't wade back thru all of ya'll's mothiness to find the dang thing!!! All I know is, ya'll have been calling ME mothy all day but we are on page fifty something and today is my first REAL day on the ship!!! SOMEBODY ELSE must be mothy too!!!

Laura, I am so sorry to hear that happened I remember going through that with my DH about 1 1/2 years ago. Things did work out in the end, but I can feel your pain right now. I hope he can find something good soon! Hang in there and I'll be thinking of you.
