For all of you that have eaten here, I am wondering how quick the service is?
Is this a very slow restaurant where people and staff take their time or is it quick?

We ate there last week. The service was not slow, but our waitress did not rush us. We wanted a leisurely dinner and we were there over 2 hours.

Most of the table service restaurants take a while. It's not like V&A, which will take 2 or more hours. But it's definitely about an hour minimum and sometimes longer if it's crowded. Le Cellier is alway full . For all of the restaurants, if you're the first seating for lunch you usually get in and out pretty fast.

Like any restaurant it always depends on your server.

When we ate there last week service was very prompt. Everything we ordered arrived quickly although they never rushed us. In fact our filet's must have been on the grill the minute we ordered them as they came out very quickly (we all ordered rare).

In fact, we had 9 TS meals on our trip and only one (The Wave) was slow, although it might have just been because I was in a bit of a rush to catch SpectroMagic so I was probably a bit impatient.

We ate there for an early lunch, about 11:30 in Nov and we were there about an hour. Even if it takes a little longer I suggest trying it. This was the best meal we've ever had at Disney, the pretzel breadsticks are amazing!

Anytime we eat here the service is always a nice pace....never feel rushed and or like it is taking too long. We always sit and eat a little on the slower side, but have also seen people turn a table quite quickly there. The pretzel bread is amazing!!! The Le Cellier mushroom filet is also pretty much amazing! Seriously amazing! They have added some new things that look pretty amazing though too!

We visited for 6 nights last week. Most of our TS's were pretty quick. The servers were on the ball and the food came out pretty quick.

The only places that were slower than the other Disney restaurants were Sci-Fi and Primetime. Le Cellier was very quick for a steakhouse -- keep in mind that they are cooking these steaks to order. Service at Le Cellier was excellent.

Enjoy.

Our service was very slow but the table next to us, came in after us and left before us. They also were given a lot better service, so I guess it just depends on who the server is.

Ugh!! Don't let my husband get his hands on this post. Several years ago we ate lunch at Le Cellier for the first time and the service was horrendous!! It took us at least 30 minutes to get our drinks and then at least 30 minutes to get our soup and another 30 minutes to get our steaks. The restaurant was not full and no one could figure out why it was taking so long. There were plenty of servers around. I convinced my husband to eat there on our next trip but if the service is bad again I'm guessing I will never see the inside of Le Cellier again (my husband is reading over my shoulder and just confirmed this).

Not always full. We had lunch there on Sat Aug 29th and our ADR's were for 11:55. We were seated at 11:50 and were the only people in our "province" or section. We were done by 1pm and the restaurant never filled more than half. I couldn't believe it. DH didn't understand when I explained not only how hard it is to get an ADR but that the restaurant is supposed to be "always full.":confused3

We just ate dinner there Monday night, and we had a new server who told us we were just his 3rd table. He was wonderful, very attentive, and our food came out pretty quick much to our surprise.

As a matter of fact, we were seated as soon as we signed in for our reservation. We had always tried to get Le Cellier for dinner and this was our first time we got the adr we wanted ( only had lunch before).

The food and service were both wonderful.:thumbsup2

Wow thanks for all the replies.

I am hoping that it won't take very long. We have an adr at 8:30 and want to be out to see Illuminations. I plan on getting the Prime Rib, not sure what DH will get but we will familarize ourselves with the menu before we go so he will have some idea.
I also plan on telling the CM that we are in a hurry so hopefully we get an attentive waiter/waitress.
We are quick eaters even when taking our time, usually we are finished right at 45mins during any dinner as long as the staff is good. :)

IMHO that is going to cut it close even with fast service. I'd check-in early and see if you get lucky and get seated early.

The service when we were there was pretty prompt, but I would definitely check in WAY early. We waited over 40 minutes after our ADR time to be seated. It was chilly outside and that stuffy, tiny lobby was very OLD by the time we got to our table. I think that must have clouded me about the experience, because I came away feeling less than enthused. The food was good, our server was nice and prompt, but I don't have any real desire to go back.

Hope you don't have too long of a wait!!

Ya, they need to expand both the restaurant and the waiting area. Maybe add a bar area for people waiting. I don't see that happening though. It's not positioned in the best spot for expansion.

Our service is always slow, but it is okay - I am there to relax and enjoy the pretzle bread. :teeth:
