Servers at dinner

I was wondering if the servers at dinner are set according to your Stateroom assignments. Last time we went we were not all that impressed with them. This time we have the same staterooms as last time 7080 and 7082 and was hoping to get someone different. Our last cruise was 3 years ago, what is their turnover?

There doesn't seem to be any connection. We typically sail in 5650, 5520, or 5020, and I have never seen a correlation...we have been all over the diningroom, with a variety of servers. I suspect it has more to do with the makeup of your party, as they seem to try to seat adults with other adults, families with families, etc. (although that is not always 100 percent true, as they have to work with the guest makeup of the particular cruise).
Although cruise line turnover tends to be high, Disney has an excellent retention record. We have met many servers who have been with DCL from the beginning, or close to it.

Give requesting your servers a try...I have read about people doing that on these boards. For suggestions on best servers, check out the "Favorite crew member" thread...mine's in there somewhere. I know EXACTLY what you mean, on one of our cruises, we walked out of the restaurant, and requested they change our table asap. It was horrendous...the guy started whining about tips THE FIRST NIGHT! Not so on our last cruise, we had the BEST team so far. Let their performance do the talking, and never once even hinted about "the envelopes". We made sure to recommend them in the comment cards, and will definately ask for them next time. hope you have the a better experience this time!
