Server recommenations at Prime Time Cafe

I know some people have servers they love there - any recommendations?

We had a server named Mikey in Dec. He was soo good, we complimented him to the manager and filled out a "fan" card to guest services.

I also recommend Mikey! I even have a picture of him! And we had him come over to our table to chat and show him the picture last time, even though he wasn't our server that day. He is a ton of fun!

Coincidently I've had Mikey as a server both times I've been to Prime Time Cafe. Both times he was excellent. However, both times he failed to "play the part", as other servers did. I was wondering if maybe that was just because I was solo and he didn't know if I'd want him to. Although at the end of the first meal, when I told him to tell Grandma that I'd really enjoyed her chicken pot pie, he smiled and said "Oh, that's great-she was up early this morning working on it!" and smiled. Does he tend to get "in the act" and didn't so much because I was solo? As a server, however, he was very good, but I would have liked a little more "act".

I'm guessing because you were alone possibly, as you suggested. I think most of the servers there that are good are pretty good about gauging how much of that you want - maybe he didn't get that playful kind of vibe from you? My kids were doing things intentionally to get him going - telling him no, putting their elbows on the table, etc.

Simba's Mom, I think that it may be because you were alone. He was all over the act with our entire room when we were there. We signed cards and sang for other people. He "Bought a card" for my son who was turning two on that trip because "everyone else was too cheap to do anything" The room then sang for my son. He fawned over honeymooners and he also brought my father's (60+ years old) veggies back to him with whipped cream on them for dessert.

He was hilarious and totally in the act from start to finish.

I'm glad you told me this. He's such a nice guy, I can tease him about this next time-that "I feel left out". Last time, I needed some water to take some medication and another server got it for me. Boy, did he give Mikey a hard time about "having to do YOUR job-you're so lazy!" Of course, it was all good natured fun and this will be too.

Cousin Loukili made our visit to Prime Time special.

Cousin Cooper. He was hilarious and my kids had a blast. They don't even call the resaurant 50's Prime Time Cafe, they call it Cooper's Place.

My ds kept asking for more Coke - he brought him 6 at one time (no 8 year old needs a total of 8 cups of Coke at dinner but...) and said he would need rubber sheets at the hotel.

My cousin's dd2 was making quite a mess and he thought it was my cousin that was dropping the food - he made her a bib and hat out of napkins.

My dh was kidded several times for inhaling his food (which is normal for him) and was called a trash compactor.

My cousin's dh ordered a milkshake for his drink and another for his dessert - that got some laughs as well.

I left 1 green been on my plate to see what would happen - it came back on top of my dessert.

We all had a great time and closed out DHS that evening. The kids (6 of them) talked about it the rest of the trip and wanted to go back.
