Right now I am looking at round trip airfare from JFK (NY) to MCO (Orlando) 3rd week of April to be between $1500 - $1800 for a family of 5.... This seems really high to me. Southwest doesn't release their April airfares until Oct. 27th so I am waiting. I have a Disney Cruise booked for the week of April 18th. Know of any JetBlue promo code resources or anything?

Unfortunately Passover is really late next year (April 22- April 30) so a lot of flights out of NYC are super expensive. I have noticed Jetblue has gotten a lot more expensive lately as we usually pay 200-300 for round trip per and adult on the same route. Gone are the days where we use to be able to get 99 round trip from NYC to almost anywhere with Jetblue.

We are in the same boat, looking to fly down the same week, but from Boston. I'm waiting for Southwest to release their fares too. Jet Blue used to be our go to airline to fly to MCO but their fares have really climed lately, not to mention their new bag fee mess.

look at alternative airports. We flew our of Westchester this summer and saved a bunch of $$ and 300 a person is about what we usually pay roundtrip.

LaGuardia is about the same as JFK; but less flight choices. Hartford is about $4000 LOL!

what are the exact date you are looking for because flights prices can vary considerably

Fly down on April 16th (2 days before cruise; staying at WDW for 2 nights just got a 30% off code!) and return on April 22nd (Same day cruise returns)

I'm seeing most NJ districts on Spring Break the week of April 4th. I think it may be too early to book airfare anyways still approx 5 months out... Don't want to wait too long, but really shocked by JetBlue's prices. My last trip to FL. I booked a flight for 7 people from Hartford to Orlando and the total round trip was $1713.60 on Southwest. So fingers crossed. With fuel prices so low it doesn't make sense.

The April 22nd return makes sense to be expensive coming back into NYC since that is a holiday here.

Did you look at Newark?

Tampa with a rental car might be cheaper. We did that route last November and actually still saved money even with the rental (over $500 saved)

school vacation week in much of New England. They adjust pricing higher when they know there will be a high demand. It's no surprise.

We paid about $350 each on Southwest that week last year from Bradley.

You can do Bing Rewards for Jet Blue points. It's not a lot but it's easy.
400 Bing rewards = 100 JB points.
If you are at Gold Level on Bing, it's 385 points.

I know it's a bit of a drive but Albany has some good prices. I got my family of 5 out of Albany into MCO on JetBlue for the last week of February for $881 total. (We are leaving on a Wednesday and coming back on a Tuesday though) We live in Vermont, but the 3 hour drive is worth it when considering it will save us over $1000.

I purchased jetblue the week fares were released for twice what i was expecting and have watched them rise ever since. Jetblue for our trip in midapril 2016 is now cheaper to fly direct from albany than jfk. My home airport is syracuse and flights are now between 500 and 600 a TICKET. One way. Everyone has fingers crossed for the southwest release date which was pushed forward to October 27. I wonder how the outrageous jetblue fares will impact SW.
