Seriously, it's that hot?

we are leaving next week and i started packing today. i'm SO excited and nervous. there will be 19 of us there. i looked at the weather and is it really that hot at night? i'm in northern nevada, and we need jackets at night cuz it gets so cool. the low for orlando is 75 at night? does this mean we don't need jackets, just shorts and t-shrits? it will be much easier to pack, but i don't want cold kids , nor do i want to buy 6 jackets while we are there

It really is that hot! The only thing you might take if you tend to have cold natured kids (or if you are) is a light sweater for when you go into some of the air-conditioned rides and attractions. Or it can be especially nice if you got caught in a rainstorm and then go into air conditioning.

I'd be tempted to throw in a sweatshirt for each and go with it. We went on our first trip with our kids in late Sept 2004 and only needed shorts and t-shirts. It was HOT.

Last year, we went at the end of May, and I got chilly in the evenings and bought a sweatshirt, but I only used it around fireworks time.

Yeah...it's HOT! But with the storms we've been having, there's a chance you may get wet, and then go into the air-conditioning...and be wet and cold! A light jacket is a great idea! Have fun!

Hey- As I sit here sweating, I'm trying to be optimistic.

jacket - maybe but only for airconditioned buildings.

We went this time last year and were more wet from sweating than from storms. It does rain alot but you are so hot you welcome the rain.
I do not remember needing a sweater for the restaurants and definitely not for rides.
I was happy whenever I got close to being cool let alone cold.

75 at night in FL is cool compared to the daily temps, I don't think you'll need jackets but if you want to pack them something light would be more than enough.

Maybe I'm just used to the heat, but during the summer here (GA) it's still 80+ at night so we never need jackets in until late fall.

The only time your kids might need jackets is if they get cold easily (some people say the shops/restaurants are cold).

I've been to THE WORLD for the past 2 yrs. in late September and it has been HOT! Day time temps went as high as 107 and night time was in the low 80's and humid. Only needed a light jacket for some of the air-conditioned rides, restaurants and buildings...sometimes.

Yes, it really is that hot at night. I've lived in FL my whole life and sometimes it can even be in the 80's in December.

Gosh, I havent used my pants/jackets in months! If you are extremely cold natured, then sure, some of the buildings with A/C in them could get a bit chilly at times. But it is usually a welcome feeling after being out in the 90 degree heat.

It IS that hot and humid....even at night. The rain usually makes it worse. I'd bring a light jacket/sweater for restaurants if the ac affects you. To me, it is a welcome relief.

It is more than hot now! My poor 12-year-old played in a softball tournament today in 95 degree heat. Nothing like sports in Orlando! However, keep in mind that they air-condition Florida TO DEATH, so a sweatshirt or sweater for restaurants/movie theaters is a good idea!
