Early in the morning a well marked, obvious and well known UN post was shelled by the Israeli military, who were repeatedly notified of the location prior to the attacks.
The UN position contacted the Israeli military no less than 10 times throughout the day; they were answered with more shelling. Israel assured the UN each and every time that the shelling would stop immediately.
Additionally, an Irish UN member alerted Israel multiple times that their actions were putting UN lives directly in danger.
In the evening, Israel fired a precision guided missile at the position and killed all four UN members in the post who were sheltering from the shelling.
The UN members were from Austria, Canada, China and Finland.
I'm sorry, but this is damn near offensive. How can you bomb and kill UN personnel when your military is aware of the UN presence in the first place? This should not stand.
