Serious trouble for the shooter at our high school yesterday..

He's 16 - not 15 - and has been charged with attempted murder and assault..

Rumor has it that the teacher was NOT the intended victim - he had told someone he was going to kill his ex-girlfriend.. He shot at a fellow student in the hall and luckily the kid threw his books up in the air and ducked at exactly the time the shotgun was going off and it struck the wall behind him.. Another bullet grazed the baseball cap of another student - and the teacher was shot while trying to subdue the shooter..

Good news on the teacher - he was treated and released yesterday afternoon. The bullet hit the calf of his leg and he's going to be fine..

I saw it this morning on Headline News - the bottom of the screen where they flash by news tidbits.

Actually, it is so sad that our society has gotten to the point where an incident like this isn't considered "big" news.

I bet the kids who witnessed it will be having nightmares for years.
