serious quick help needed!!! Beach or Yacht?

we love the YC!! (even the kids do)

both are beautiful, but the YC is more elegant (definately not snobby, just not as "boisterious" as BC, especially nice if your little one wants to take a nap in the afternoon, or if anyone wants to sleep before 11PM or after 6-7AM :rolleyes1 ).

We were at the Yacht Club this past January. We liked it very much. I have 2 boys and it was great to go to the quiet pool (no one was ever there) and it easier to watch them. Stormalong Bay is a blast but gets very crowded so sometimes it is a nice break to go to the quiet pool. :scared: We stayed at the Beach Club a few years back and liked it as well. I found that it took me longer to 'slow down' :yay: when we stayed there. The Yacht Club relaxed us as soon as we walked in from the parks, but the Beach Club kept us going until we made it to our rooms. Not to mention the buses pick up at the Yacht Club first.:goodvibes
Although as I am typing I realize I would go back to either of them right now if I could! You won't go wrong with whatever you chose! :thumbsup2
Have a great trip!

I read that the bedding at Yacht club is like a hospital and beach club is way more comfortable too? I know these are stupid questions...I was talking to the hotel about a few things and everyone I talked to at the yc was pretty "annoyed" with me to say the least (just requests like a crib and will a gallon or 1/2 gallon of milk fit in the fridge). Yes, I think the bc seems more "fun". Ugh...i have to decide today!!!! Also, i heard it's a very far walk to the deli counter/store to get things like fruit/yougurt, etc. I know these could all be people who didn't enjoy their stay there too...
Who are you talking to? If you are talking to the actual resort, then I can understand why they are getting annoyed. They really aren't the people you need to be talking to.

what is CRO? I tried requesting a crib too and they said basically they would put it in but it probably won't happen. My daughter WONt go in a pack and play and when she sleeps with us in a bed, she moves to much and wakes up and it's a nightmare for everyone. I'm honestly quite nervous about this hotel!

CRO is Central Reservations Office..these are the folks you should be talking to in order to get what you need. They will make note of your request on the reservation. I don't believe Disney has actual cribs. You may want to check into an outside rental company for that and have one delivered.
The food area, for grab and go, is a bit of a hike from the YC. It is off to the far side of BC, actually very close to the villas section there...nice if you're DVC, not so nice if you're coming from the YC.
You should be fine with either resort....make a choice, call a rental company about a crib. You'll be fine and have a great trip.

I stayed at the Beach Club when I was younger and absolutely loved it, although I think what we loved most was the pool area which both hotels benefit from and the beaches and cream cafe which you can easily access from the yacht club too. The beach club always had the most fantastic host on the door in the morning though that saluted you as left for the day, my brother used to love it!

YC! we stayed there with our 4 year old and 2 year old twins. the balcony was a must for us...the kids went to bed early and h and I were able to hang out on the balcony while they slept and have a drink or 2 and watch the fireworks.

we thought the staff was very nice and accomodating. the beds were great, and yes a 1/2 gallon of milk will fit in the fridge.

the walk to the BC for the marketplace (or epcot) is NOT long at all!

also, you can get fruit/yogurt/muffins/bagles/etc in the mornings at the ale and compass right in the lobby. very convenient.

The patio at the YC was the best. Our room was facing the wedding chapel and the lake. Coffee in the morning on the patio facing the lake and having the beautiful roses along the patio was the most peaceful and pleasant experience of our trip. BC looked to have more traffic.:lovestruc
