I would not recommend this hotel as it's kind of dumpy. The service and staff were good, in fact, staff was amazing. But the rooms were not renovated and just looked dingy and dirty. Alarm clock didn't work, fridge didn't get very cold...things like that.

We usually stay on site, so maybe our standards are a bit higher. Granted, the room was only $60 a night, but I think that was about $20 per night too high. This was NOT a 3 star hotel.

However, it was very close to Disney Gate and grocery stores.

People were recently talking about this hotel on this site. This is good information to know. Thanks for the review.

It's worth mentioning that my husband seemed to think they were starting to renovate, and we were in the "old part". But the hotel clearly wasn't full, why put us in the dumpy section, kwim?

It really is interesting, because as I mentioned, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly which didn't quite add up to the dumpy rooms.

Glad I could help!

We stayed there on 4/16, for one night (before getting on property)... we actually kinda liked it, for what it was. Wouldn't stay there for multiple nights, but for one, where we didn't do anything but sleep, it was fine. The lobby was nice, and their breakfast buffet was enjoyed by all. The rooms were basic and plain, but that didn't seem like an issue for us. At first our lights didn't work at all, because they'd all been unplugged, which seemed odd. But again, it was ok. I agree it's not worth 3 stars (hotwire had it as 2.5, which I think still might be a stretch, 2 is probably more accurate)

While I can understand the original poster's sentiment, I have to disagree. It's true, that this place looks like an updated 1950's holiday inn, but if you can look past the motel exterior, it is really a fantastic place. They have two pools, an awesome game room, a convenience store/cafe that is open late. The place is clean, close to everything.

The rooms are awesome, but you have to book the kids suites..if ya have kids. These are basically large standard motel rooms with a little house built in. This "little house" has bunkbeds and another bed on the other side (room for three kids) there is a separate tv in this little room too. My kids thought this was the greatest thing they have ever seen. The year before, we went to the Ritz Carlton in Colorado, and they thought this was better haha.

And don't forget, this is one of the cheapest, decent places you will find too.

So I say, go for it..don't expect luxury, but the price is right and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this place...oh yeah, and when we were there, kids get free breakfast bufett...nice.

That's because it was a Holiday Inn before it became Seralago. :rotfl2:
We stayed when it was Holiday Inn Maingate East, just before it was sold. It did need some renovations. The huge pools were great though.
