We are a family of 7: My parents, us, and DD13, DS6 and DD 6, in two rooms.

Please help me out and see if I have a good idea as to the things I need to do upon boarding and, if there is a sequence to any of them, are they right?:

1. Prior to boarding, decide which restaurant to give up in order to dine at Palos.

2. Upon boarding, one member from each room goes to the Palo's reservation area, while the rest of the party heads to their rooms.

3. While at the rooms, the dining rotation is acquired. Based on the dining rotation assigned, relay the appropriate information to the rest of the party waiting at Palos. Hopefully, sign up for the desired evening and time.

4. After that is settled, everyone should go to Topsiders for lunch.

5. After lunch, walk around the ship, and take all of the kids to their appropriate clubs and sign them in.

Then, I am guessing, it's free time to walk around and learn the surroundings or maybe hit the pool until the 4PM safety drill. After that.... wing it!

Am I missing anything important up front?

Thanks for the help in advance..... Paul

Your plan sounds fine....but, you can find out your dining rotation before you get to your room. It will be posted on your KTTW card that you receive upon check-in. Use the time in the terminal while waiting to board to figure out which night you want to go to Palo.

As far as winging it.....go for it.....relax and enjoy!!!!

Also, I don't think you need to send one person from each room to Palos. When we travelled we were with friends in another cabin. They weren't even on the ship yet and I just made reservations for 4 adults and put down both our stateroom numbers. I asked about it at Palos and they told me as long as we were dining together only one of us needed to be there to make the reservation.

mmouse37 is correct, you will find out your rotation when you check in.

I think you'll end up with the PLAPLAP rotation, but decide ahead of time which evening to dine in Palo's based on your assigned rotation.

You know that you will either have:
PLAPLAP
LAPLAPL
APLAPLA

Pick a night for each possible rotation.

Have a great cruise!

Thank you all for the info. I have already posed the question to my wife of which restaurant she is will to miss. Her comment was not the formal nights and not the caribbean night.

More to figure out!
