September, when do you pack?

We leave in 3 weeks, People think I am crazy because I want to bring my luggage out... When do you start packing??

The day before we leave. Having been several times, there is no reason to pack early. We now know what we need to take with us. Have a great trip

when we went on vacay once a year, and drove 2-3 days to get there I started at least a week before (and actually had a catch-all pack in the box in the closet where I kept incidentals that I picked up throughout the year...cheapo ponchos, purse-size sunblock, etc.

But now, we're usually just coming from near Tampa, and just for 2-4 day trips so no big deal. Pack the night before if we're leaving in the morning. Or pack in the afternoon if we're leaving after work.

The excitement's still there, though. Love getting the Mickey mail with the luggage tags

We leave Monday am. I had one suitcase out since last week with some of the things I bought for the trip. Started yesterday to pick out some clothes and will do most of the packing Saturday so I have Sunday to get anything I may have forgotten.

I like to plan what I'm taking a few days ahead of time so I can make sure everything is washed, etc. and have time to track down missing items.

My DH will pack his stuff Sunday night (I leave space for him in the suitcase) and I pack for myself and my twins.

And as long as you have some space for your luggage, why not bring it out if it makes you happy to get started?

On Friday Sept. 3rd it is 2 weeks from my trip to WDW.
I am taking a few hours off that day to start packing some stuff for my upcoming trip.
I prefer it a bit earlier, so that I know I won't forget anything.

We leave in just over 3 weeks, too! And I am slightly an organization freak so I have my packing list printed and have been picking up things at the store specifically for the trip. I have the luggage out of the basement but in the guest room closet so I can put anything I don't need normally but do need for Disney in the closet with the luggage. This way my husband doesn't roll his eyes out of socket over my excitement but I still feel like I'm making progress and a lot of stuff is in one place when I get around to officially packing into the suitcases..which I do generally the weekend before I leave.

If I weren't having out of town family coming this weekend, I would start today and I leave in 2 weeks from tomorrow. (The 2 family members that are coming up here are actually from Orlando. ) I do have a huge box in my closet that has little things I have made or picked up to take or just keeping it safe from the kids before the trip. (pressed penny money tubes, mickey ear hats, mini backpacks, kids sunglasses, bows, etc...) I also have been pulling out of the clean laundry and stacking any of my girls princess/mickey or minnie tshirts they wear during the year. That way I won't have to go and do any last minute laundry.

Dh thinks i'm nut for pulling out the suitcases early. I usually take them out about 2 weeks before vacation (sometimes longer before that lol). I start packing things I know we arent going to be needing. As I think of things I add them so it makes it easier later. I just get so excited and pulling out the suticases just means it even closer to vacation time!! If we didnt still need shorts and tank tops, we would be packed by now!

We have one week and the suitcases are out and the packing will begin this weekend. It's good to go over everything two to three times to make sure everything is packed to go. Exspecially for the kid's stuff and toiletries. Plus since we have to pay for our bags to fly we are going to try packing everything in just two suitcases in stead of three, and have a carry on not only for the adults but for the kids..

My dining room table is full of items and clothing, I will press the clothing the night before and roll them up and pack them.

We leave on Sunday September 26, and we'll start packing after work that Friday. I'm sure our excitement level will almost be at 100% by then.

Hi, disneychard!

Well I must say I only started to pack yesterday! We'll leave in a few (ok, not soo few ) hours but alas, as anxious as I was/ I am I could not really got my suitcase om my bed till yesterday.
I've laid all the clothes and did the 'matching' outfits, choose what to bring and then I packed for 10 days, I plan to do a laundry run or 2 b/c we'll stay whole 20 days at Orlando. I'm bringing ten tshirts, 2 pair of shorts (one is 'dry fast'), one pair of denin capris, some other 3 slevless blouses and 2 summers dresses gor 'going out' My pj's; one flipflop, my mary-jane's crocs, and the broke-in 2 pairs of tennis shoes.So broke in maybe they won't be back in the siutcase for the journey to home!

And I am bring more shoes I've wanted but I cannot see myself going out to dinner and maybe some drinks using the same shoes I've used all day in the parks... ouch I hope my feet won't make me regret this

that is really good, my husband always makes a comment why I have to bring 6 pieces of luggage for 3 of us.

Suitcase have been in our guest room since begining of August and have been throwing odds and ends in sincce. Today I pulled dd and my cloths to iron and pack tomorrow. DH I will do on Wednesday. We leave Friday morning.
