Trip is only 46 days away! :cheer2: And getting a little nervous. We usually go off season, and this time, with big group :grouphug: we're going 1st week in June. I hate fastpass (think its cruel to go to a ride, just to go back 2 hours later, just me). And am use to maybe 20 minute wait for Buzz, or Splash Mountain. Is it going to be much worse then that 1st week of June??? :guilty:
Trying to plan, without planning. Appreciate any insight!
Thank you so much,
Amy

We usually go in off season as well (either September or Jan.). One year I went with a friend in July, and although I can't tell you about the 1st week of June, I know there was a MAJOR difference between Sept./Jan crowds and the summer crowds of July. We easily waited an hour if not more for Splash mountain. It was hot and crowded. Again, this was not the first week of June, but I would definitely come prepared for a very different experience.

That being said.. many people go over the summer and have a wonderful time. It's really just about managing your day. I found that leaving early and coming back in the evening was a good strategy. Many of the crowds tend to thin out with people not coming back after dinner. Also, eventhough you stated you really don't care for fast passes, I totally recommend using them! Get your fast past then go do something else, taking advantage of the fact that you have to wait.

I'm sure you'll have fun regardless of the crowds and heat.

I'll be going back this september :)

We prefer the warmer weather of the early summer as well as the fact that parks are open late and the parades, shows and fireworks are in full swing.
Also, the hurricanes that occurred last August/September turned me off to that time of year. I know, it can happen at other times but I would like to minimize the chance by not going when it often happens! :teeth:

Thre are more crowds in June but as mentioned above the parks are open later.
I think June is hotter and more humid then Sept. though
I went twice in June one time it was ok the other time it was hot and humid
I always go in late Sept now
But I think you will have more too see in June as tehy have more going on with the higher crowds ::MickeyMo

Memorial Day falls on May 30 this year, and that weekend will be crowded - been there, done that! ;) - but the crowds thin out from Tuesday onward. It can be warm, but not as bad as it gets later in the summer - IMHO. However, nothing is written in stone. We are going in late June this year and I am trying to prepare myself for the heat - I prefer to go earlier in the month or in May - because I know the weather will be uncomfortable. Hot weather + crowds = yuck! :guilty: But early June should not be that bad.

Thank you all, feeling a little better. We have some small children in the group. so we planned on naps/pool in the afternoons. Sounds like this should help.
All the best! :flower:

The first 2 weeks or so of June are really only on the moderate side as far as crowds go. Now, with Memorial Day falling so much later that could change the first few days of June this year. You may find some of the long weekend crowds spilling into the first week some.

As for weather I personally think you'll find it comparable. We've been in September and it was low to mid 90's everyday-- and very, very humid.

This will be our fourth trip in early June. It will be more crowded than your are used to but not as bad as it can get later in the summer. We have always had to use FP for Splash Mtn, BTMRR, Pooh and Peter Pan. We have ridden Buzz several times in a row by heading over there as soon as we got through the gates in the morning. We haven't done EE before--too hard to get everybody up and out the door to take advantage of that but you might want to try it. We have had an early PS at CP and then were able to hit Fantasyland as soon as the park opened and rode almost everything there before the mobs made it down Main Street. A good time to ride a lot of the more popular rides would be during the parades and fireworks. Hope to see you there--we will be in the World June 2-11 :Pinkbounc
