How is the weather in September? Want to take kids to Halloween Party when it starts, but scared it will be too rainy.

Very HOT and HUMID. Check historical weather for Orlando for the month of September in years past. It is the end of summer.

We go in September every year, and yes it is very hot and humid! However we have been lucky with the rain and thunderstorms. Last year it rained a few afternoons but didn't last too long. Last year was actually the first time we have been and had any rain, the years prior to that the weather has been great, just hot!

The Halloween party is so fun! Your kids will love it!:)

We always go in September. Out of 3 trips we have only had a downpour once and it lasted maybe an hour. Had a couple of short showers but the majority of the time it did not rain. It is hot and humid but will take for the lower crowds.

HOT and HUMID are right! We went in sept 2010 and I was completely unprepareed for the humidity. I'd read about it, I'd checked weather.com, I thought that I'd experienced humidity before, etc. I was wrong. The humidity really got to us.

I'm sure this is no surprise for people from the south and from florida but were from so calif where it gets HOT (110+) but very little humidity. I'm pretty sure that for me personally I'd never go that time of year again. Now the good part is that there was no one in the parks. Epcot seemed empty to me. My boys went on test track 5-6 times without getting off the car. We're talking empty.

But I'm still not sure it was worth it.

We went in September last year and were there for the first 3 MNSSHP nights. The first week of our two week trip, and when we did MNSSHP, was pretty much rain free and we had a beautiful night. The second week had rain that would start in the late afternoon and run off and on into the night. We didn't feel impacted by it at all but one of the rainy nights was a MNSSHP night.

This year we're going in September again and will do the party again however we're not sure if we're going to pre-purchase our tickets or not.

And as far as "hot and humid" it was a first for us. Imagine walking around and feeling like you're wearing a wet towel. ugh... lol but obvioulsy we didn't mind too much since we're going back!

September is our favorite time of year to go. Yes it is hot and humid but we don't mind it. The lines are very low and you rarely will have to use FPs. Just be prepared for the heat and humidity and drink plenty of liquids...luckily Disney has lots of places to cool off :goodvibes.

I've only been the week after Labor Day and it was blistering hot but there were no crowds so we weren't out in it very long since all the attractions were walk-ons. A very nice trade-off. Since you'll be going later in the month due to MNSSHP, it may not be AS hot, but crowds may not be as low either. You will have a wonderful vacation regardless. :thumbsup2

Thanks for asking this question DisneySarge156! I was just wondering the same thing since I usually travel in the late spring to WDW and am now thinking of a Sept 2012 trip! So, sorry I have nothing to add but thanks for helping to get my question answered :cool1:
