Just back from a November WDW vacation for 11 days. Already Planning ahead. My husband and I started later in life so I have some catching up to do. We have cone in October, twice in November and December. Everyday is a good day at Disney but base on the following I am looking for opinions:
Thinking about September??? we would like it a little warmer. We would like to keep the crowd levels as low as possible and free dining would be nice but we do know that is not always an option. We are from Canada and all I hear is "hurricane season" and was wondering if anyone can give us any more insight on this. :cheer2:

We, too, are from Canada and have been @ Disney in mid to late September 3 times....love it! It's hot & humid; evenings are beautiful! Never had any hurricane scares; Orlando is not on the coast which I know is no guarantee but....
Crowds are pretty low and free dining is sometimes offered at this time of year which can be a bonus. Park hours are still decent and the waterparks are open....we love it. September/October and April are our favourite times of year to visit (April can be busier due to school/spring breaks and Easter).

We are heading back this coming April - enjoy planning your next trip! :)

The later you go in September the more the Halloween decorations so your holiday won't be too different than your October visit aesthetic wise.

Our first trip was in September of last year. WE LOVED IT. Vowed to never, ever go in a busy season. We are going at the end of April for our oldest's birthday, but after that we are probably going to always stick to September. We walked on everything. Besides Winnie the Pooh, LOL. That was about a 30 minute wait I believe. But the whole week things like Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, SOARIN' were only 5-10 minutes. Even 7DMT was only 20 minutes. It was way easy to get FP+ & ADR's. We got everything we wanted. And the characters took so much time with my girls because there were little to no one in line. They sat & talked to Tiana for 20 minutes because no one else was in line.

It was incredibly hot, though. To be fair, they were having a heat wave that week, so it was 10-15 degrees warmer than usual. Which when you are talking about Florida means it felt like Hell, LOL. Most days it was over 100 degrees. Not fun, but we started early in the morning & went back to the hotel around lunch time for a couple hours. My hubby was worried about hurricane season, not so much that we were going to get an actual hurricane, but just that it would be really rainy. Well, it only rained one day...for about 20 minutes. So we lucked out in that department.

I agree with previous posts, September is WONDERFUL. We have gone then several times and most rides are walk ons, no problems with dining reservations (even with free dining), and we always hit the water parks. Its my favorite time of the year to go.

Glad to hear it's so nice in September as that is when we are going too. We were hoping for lower crowd levels so sounds like that will be the case - yay!

Other Canadian here who loves September as well! Favorite time to go for crowd levels and Epcot Food and Wine! I love the weather at that time too. Easier to pack lighter clothes and wear layers.

We love September! Last September I spent 2 weeks in Orlando for my kids birthdays. They turned 30. And we have quite a few relatives in the area. We spent 7 nights at All Star Movies, 2 rooms. 2 nights at Nickeladeon resort and 3 nights at Cabana Bay Beach Resort. We did 2 days at Sea world, 3 at Universal Studios and 7 at Disney World. We had a blast. Weather was perfect, never had a long line, but did have rain about 3 of those days. We were offered the Disney Dining but turned it down that trip because we had different relatives different days going with us.

I have not made a September trip since the 1980's, so I'm not much help there. But I'll bet if you pop over to the Theme Parks section of these boards you'll be able to find people who can share more recent experiences. (Back in the 80's the weather was hot but not rainy, but a lot of rides/attractions were down for maintenance.)
