All right… were back with Day 4. We have been extremely busy with work, the holidays, looking for a place to live and our newest little addition to our family, Stella Victoria. She’s only 4 months old… but an absolute joy.
We left off on Day 3, which was a huge post. We’ll most likely start to make them smaller as I’m not sure if people are still even reading our PJ. Day 3 was amazing with beautiful weather. I fell in love with the Toy Story Mania ride, we both fully recommend Mama’s Melrose and absolutely adore the characters in the block party bash. I must admit I wasn’t a huge fan of Disney’s Hollywood Studies.. but I def. grew an appreciation for this park: not to mention at nighttime It’s beautiful.
DAY 4. (Just Me (Racheal here) Dbf, is too busy.. I’ll get him to write the next installment.
We always seem to get into a perfect routine in the mornings when in WDW. Dbf wakes up first, showers while I drag myself out of bed. We get ready; head over to the caf. at POP Century, eat and then we head out to the park. Although every morning we debate about whether or not to bring our re-fill able mugs, if yes, than dbf carries them around all day, if no, then we have to buy our drinks when we’ve already purchased the mugs.
We arrived at Magic Kingdom at 7:30am on Thursday, September 25th, 2008. The Fall/Halloween decorations were absolutely beautiful. I believe we’ve ONLY seen the Christmas Decorations.
After seeing the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party sign.. I knew it was totally worth purchasing those tickets.. even IF dbf was a little hesistant. We headed over towards Tomorrow Land to ride Buzz light-years and Space Mountain. I was excited for Buzz light-years because this is where I beat Dbf by 200,000 points. WOO HOO for me. I really got into this ride, whereas last year it was the most boring ride I was forced to go on. Next we walked over to Frontier Land, we wanted to accomplish all of the big more popular rides and our favorites early in the morning. Everyone knows the lines are less busy and the park itself is less busy. We snapped a couple of pictures of the Castle on the way.
Once we arrived in Frontier land, we went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain.
By this time it was, it was 8:50am. We had managed to do all three mountains and few extra’s in little less than an hour. We weren’t in a rush, just enjoying a beautiful morning. After the three mountains, we headed to Adventure Land and rode the Pirates of the Caribbean. Here's a photo of us waiting in line....
Next we grab some Fast passes for the Jungle ride, and went over to one of Dbf favorite The Enchanted Tiki Room. It was so dead that morning, we were the first in line.
By this time it was 9:40am and we needed a cold snack. It was so hot, I was sweating buckets. ON A SIDE NOTE: Sorry if this is t.m.i. but something I hadn’t anticipated was the fact that I had mostly packed skirts. Khaki and Jeans…skirts. I have never experienced chafing in my life until this trip.. my inner thighs hurt so much… so much so I had to purchase baby powder this day. Next trip.. I’ll mostly pack shorts or capris.
During this trip I had a couple of “Must do’s” in my head that I must do. One of which was to try the famous Dole Whip, pick a pearl etc, attend the food and wine festival. We walked over to Aloha Isle Refreshments and ordered. Ironically, Dbf ordered the Dole whip and I got a soft serve of Vanilla and Chocolate ice cream. I am NOT a fan of the Dole whip. It’s way to pineapple for me. We sat down in the sun, and enjoyed our cold refreshments.
I'll leave you with that our fastpass time was up so we headed over to the Jungle Cruise. Did they let us on?
Till next time....
