September TR... UPDATED on July 11th, 2009--FINAL DAY POSTED.

 Although... so I"ve been really stressed out about this trip. For a couple of reason
1. The DBF.
He did an amazing job planning our trip in '06. We didnt' miss a thing (seriously), not a show, a parade, fireworks. A little obsessive, Yes, but we never thought we would be back until little ones were a part of our family(at least 5 years from now). So taking that into account, we had a great trip. Full of wonderful memories. I've been so stressed out because I am planning this trip as a "thank you" to him, and wanted it to be perfect. We talked, and turns out he'd rather just take it easy. So no need for me to worry or being so specific because (like i had mentioned before) were only going to go on the rides and do things that we really enjoyed. :woohoo:
2. Sept. Free Disney Dinning.
I am so bummed, i didnt' know about this. etc. At this point tho, i think i just need to let it go.. Its not like were on a strick budge. My budget is completely reasonable...nothing will be left out because we have to pay for dinning. I've even booked some tours.. i think were doing fine.
3. ADR
As I have been reading tons (Tons) of Ptr/tr on dis. (I'm officially addicted), i've been worried that i haven't booked enough ADR. I have booked the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose's, Tusker House with Donald and the Rose and crown. Then i was thinking, personally (dont get offended) but we dont really care what/where we eat. :rotfl: We are pretty easy flowing people. We will eat whatever... counter services or 5 course meals. : ) I guess just being so excited for disney and reading other peoples ptr/tr's got me a little worried and stressed out that we didnt' have something booked every day. I need to just stop stressing out.. We are pretty plain people.. we take vacations for new adventures (not the food: thats just a bonus),. We like to try new activities liek parasailing, white water rafting (fav. thing ever) museums, etc.

Well I just need to calm down..I'm just so excited to be headed back i'm stressing myself out.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'm def looking into what type of park ticket were going to buy (6 day/7 day/Park hooper or not/water park) i'm thinking of NOT going to typhoon lagoon. I mean the Dbf wasn't too excited about it when i brought it up... (he said it was ultimately my choice).. there's a still alot of changes we can do.

So i'm def. not panicking anymore.. i'm not going to book any more ADR's (i'm so pleased with the ones i have). The only thing left is to find something special for the DBF, to truly thank him for all his help. HmmmMMM... any suggestions beside coral reef???

Hi, Racheal! I like your PTR so far and really look forward to reading more, as you continue planning. It was also nice to see what you two look like, too. :goodvibes

Glad you came over.. It is really nice to put a picture to face. Where do i find the disney florist? Do you have any other ideas? I've decided no more ADR, i'm going to drive myself crazy because i can't call during the day (long distance) and i'm pretty happy with the ADR i have made. Pop food was generally good... we def. have no problem eating at the hotel.

I know the DBF is stressed out, because i'm panicking and changing everything. :rotfl: :confused3 and he's not the type to get excited...until were on the plane. How's your itenerary going?

WOW!! Thats crazy planning!!! I just go as far as what park we are going to visit that day. But I guess when you have been to Disney over 30 times you don't really worry about missing anything!

-nat

Lucky you.. over 30 times.. That was crazy planning..good in a sense because we got to see absolutely everything. He planned as if we wouldn't return again until we had children of our own...however,:woohoo: I convinced him we needed to go again. This trip, will def be more laid back.

You'll have tons of fun and whatever you plan (or don't!) it'll be great cause you're on vacation! Sometimes I get overly freaked cause I read all these trip reports on here and see what other people have planned. Then I remember everyone is different and every trip is different.
Just do what you can/want and enjoy your trip.

Another thing is don't get so caught up in planning for September that you let the summer pass you by! I get so excited for Sept but then have to stop and think that it's still July and I can have fun right now!!

REALLY GOOD TIP!!!!! :thumbsup2
I think I needed that also! I sometimes feel like my life is on hold until January!!

Just found you post. I love your shopping list. I'll have to make one of those eventually. I'm jumping on board your planning.:cheer2:

I'm glad you're choosing not to continue stressing, though I do understand. If you're happy with your plans, then don't worry that others are doing things differently. Just make sure you book places where you absolutely want to eat and leave the rest alone, as you said. You'd be surprised how many ADRs I have gotten once I arrive. Often, we've called the internal ADR number once we are on property, to make some ADR changes. Sometimes we get them and sometimes we don't. Like you said, you're there to enjoy the things you want to do again and food is secondary.

Glad you came over.. It is really nice to put a picture to face. Where do i find the disney florist? Do you have any other ideas? My itinerary is going pretty well. I think we're finally sticking to our ADRs. As you know, from my PTR, we were stressing whenever we read a number of bad reviews about a place we planned to go to for a meal. Finally, we decided that we'll go with the ones we chose, because often we don't agree with everyone on dining places. We're happy with basic, so anything about that is awesome for us. Sometimes, I just think people can be way too picky over certain things. We don't have much left to plan for the trip. We have a tentative list of what to pack for the trip, but it's still 5 months away.

My next thing to decide is which Crocs shoes to get. I love my new flip flop Crocs, and I think I'm going to get the Mary Janes next.

You asked about the florist and other ideas. So here you go. :goodvibes

The Walt Disney World florist site is http://www.disneyflorist.com/ You can order one of their creations from the site and have it delivered to your room, while you are out somewhere. They will also try to accomodate other ideas, if you like one of their creations but want to add or change something. You can also come up with your own idea and talk to them, to see if they can do it. It's pretty cool. Your Dbf wouldn't suspect a thing.

You can create your own surprise for him at home and ship it to your resort ahead of time. People who do this say that they have it shipped to arrive a few days prior to their arrival date. They call the resort directly to let them know and to double check that it's arrived and it's a surprise. Then, when you're ready, you can go down and pick it up or ask the front desk to deliver it to your room while you are gone.

You can also book a special experience that you don't tell him about until you leave or until the day of the event, such as Cirque de Soleil show, the Polynesian Luau, a special tour, a spa treatment, a dinner at a place like Narcoossee's in time to view the MK fireworks show from your table, or any number of other ideas they have available. Here are some others:

For example, check out this website: http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/trailride.htm which shows you how you can arrange for a horse drawn carriage ride.

You can book a specialty fireworks cruise where you would get to view fireworks from a boat. Here's that link: http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/fireworks.htm

You can also order a special cake to be delivered during one of your ADRs or even to your room. I got the following info off of one of the posts somewhere here. I copied and pasted it into a Word document for myself. I'll paste the info for you here now. I hope you can use it.

well.. taking a small break from work..:surfweb: I

I love to scrapbook. I can sit on our dinning table for hours with all my materials spread out. It's so relaxing for me. So obviously i decided to scrapbook our trip to WDW before we left in '06. I had read somewhere that a fun thing to do was to take all different types of photos in different themed "HATS" all over WDW. I got some from each and every country at epcot and at all parks. It was actually surprisingly really fun.. here are a couple of photos to share.

Great idea! I can't wait to see what you come up with for your next scrapbook.

Lots of great photos!

I like your scrapbook idea with the hat photos.
Looks like lots of fun!

I have never been to the water parks, but I have been to Disney Quest which is similar ticket wise. Are you planning on spending more than one day at a water park? You can actually buy an individual one day ticket to the water park, they are $39. If you are only planning on going one day it works out to be less than the water park option added to your tickets. If you are plannning on going to the water park twice or to one of the other "water park & more options" it is a better deal to get the water park option on your tickets.

I am planning a Sept trip too, with my son. (We will be at that Halloween party on Sun 9/28) Its crazy how much time I/we spend talking about it. This is the first trip that anyone else in the family has gotten involved in the planning with me though. I made more ADRs Sunday, and called back Monday to change one because I was not happy with the time. We are planning to stay at POP, but I have not booked the hotel yet, because I'm hoping the price will go down if I wait. I do have plane tickets and Halloween party tickets, and I know the rest will work out, and we will have fun no matter what.

Hey.. thanks for the tip about the waterpark. Actually..we were thinking the same thing and have been researching it. We're only going to go to TL for one day... so we really dont need that the waterpark and & more options. lol Still looking into it..
:sad1: My computer just completely crashed last night :sad1: with my itenerary, reservation number etc, EVERYTHING photos... so now i have to hope and pray that the good old futureshop will be able to recover my hard-drive and all my files tonight. I am so upset.
I def. want to go the Halloween party on the 9/28 too!! Were still debating it. Well actually waitting on the Dbf to give me approval, he doesn't really think it's good for adults.. :confused3 I"ll get him eventually. lol

I hope your computer restores easily. As far as your Disney information, at the very least, you can call them and have them give you your reservation number. As for your itinerary, at least you have your PTR to refer to, to help you piece it back together. With your reservation number, you can get your ADR information by calling them. Otherwise, just get your ADRs printed out when you check in. I hope it all works out.

Well well.. i finally got the Dbf on board for the MNSSHP. :woohoo: I am so excited.. as soon as i get home i'll be purchasing tickets :yay: Now i just have to decide what i'll be dressing up as (if at all) I have nairrowed it down.
1. Cruella De vil
2. Flapper
3. Fairy

Any input??

As much as I would love to see the pics of you as Cruella I would say the Fairy cause it'd be a "cooler" (temp wise) outfit and so cute for the MNSSHP!!

Can you get DBF to dress up?

Hey...nice to meet you Kathy!! :yay: Wow. How exciting your trip is coming up... dont you just love pop?

Free dining... no i didn't get it, i even got Dan to call this week and ask about it but no such like.. and i booked our hotel in JUNE. I dont know what i did wrong : ( How did you manage to get the free dining? That would have saved us soooo much money

Yep, It's costing us for flight there and back plus travel insurance 500 EACH. We looked for days and couldn't find anything cheaper. At this point, i'm just going to stick with the 500, i've stopped looking because if i find anything cheaper i'll be upset. Although, I live in Ottawa (the capita), Ontario... to drive to Toronto, Ontario takes about 41/2 hours to fly there it takes 1 hour and your looking at a cost of about 150 for one way. It's so expensive to fly in Canada... :sad2: 63.00 one way.. THATS A DEAL!! Sometimes, Occasionally... lol i see deals for like 80 dollars to toronto from ottawa, but by the time they add up taxes etc, it comes out to about 150-220 anyways..no real deal there!!

I love where i live, the nation's Capital.. its beautifu (surprisingly super clean) :) you have three girls... how old are there?

Rachea:)
Hi My girls are 20,19,14 and I have a boy that will be 6 in Aug.
I was told that WDW sometimes offers a 40% off, you should call WDW and ask if they have a discount code for you.

Do you like living there? And is it cold?
You are very pretty! You look alot like a friend I had a long time ago.
They would go to WDW sometimes twice a year!! THEY LOVE WDW!!:cheer2:

BUT LIKE I SAID, I WOULD CALL AND SEE IF THEY CAN GIVE YOU A DISCOUNT IN SOME WAY. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR POP, BUT I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THEY ARE OFFERING ROOMS FOR ABOUT $65.00 A NIGHT AT POP.
I MEAN YOU ARE COMING ALL THE WAY FROM CANADA!!
I WOULD CALL AND SEE IF THEY COULD GIVE YOU FREE DINING OR SOMETHING!!

YOU ALL ARE GOING ABOUT THE SAME TIME WE WENT LAST YEAR!
IT WAS VERY NICE. NOT TO MANY LINES!
THIS YEAR WE WILL BE AT THE 1ST OF SEPT. I'M HOPING THAT IT WON'T BE PACKED!!
I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME !!
WE ARE COUNTING DOWN!!:dance3:

I say to go with the Fairy one. I think it would be less complicated than my second choice of Cruella De Vil. Also, based on your pics, I think you would make a fabulous fairy. What about your Dbf? If he's willing to dress up too, maybe you can pick a a theme to both do, so you match for pics. Would he be up for that? I can see a Pirates theme working for the two of you.

I'm excited that you are getting to go! :woohoo:

ooo, I like the pirate hat one and the Indy Jones one!! :goodvibes

Thanks.. it was soo much fun. I"m still trying to come up with another scrapbooking idea this year.

As much as I would love to see the pics of you as Cruella I would say the Fairy cause it'd be a "cooler" (temp wise) outfit and so cute for the MNSSHP!!

I know.. I def. agree that the fairy would be much cooler... but i'd love to dress up as Cruella. Still debating.

The Dbf doesn't want to dress up as of now.. hmmm but I am leaning towards Cruella more. I just love the idea. Partly too, because i'd love to buy a pair of red stellitos.

well my computer is still in the SHOP and haven't heard any good news as of yet. I"m really getting worried.

To catch you up with my WDW planning... so far i have added the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose's, I've made reservations at Tony's Town Square and I've purchased two tickets to MNSSHP (which have already arrived: how fast was that).

I"m also going to try to find some things for my Cruella de vil costumer. So far, here's my plan i'm going to wear red stiletto, black dress shorts, a black semi dress black top, some sort of belt (red/black/animal print), Wig, and here's where i need to put in the animal print. We'll see... i'm sure i'll come up with something good.

here's a pic. of the red shoes I wanna buy:
