ok, I am starting to get a little nervous about camping . We'll be there in Sept and I am worried we will roast at night. Does it cool off at night? We have no room in our luggage to fit a fan of any kind . (flying) Are we going to be miserable?

What dates are you camping? In the beginning of September, it's still pretty warm, even at night. It may cool off to the low 70's. Later on in September, it starts cooling off a little, usually.

One thing I would recommend is going to Wal-Mart.com and ordering a box fan off of the website and have it shipped to Ft. Wilderness, then you can donate it to another camper when you leave. Or purchase one at home and have it shipped to yourself. You need the fan not only to help with the heat, but to keep the air flowing in the tent 24/7 to help combat the humidity. I used a fan in my tent in December every year. While it didn't run at night, it did run during the day to help dry things out from inside condensation.

I hate being negative, but I try to look at all possibilities. If I were you and I was tent camping during hurricane season, I would find room for a weather radio and check it daily. We go in October and have come close to hurricanes then. I always check the weather radio in the camper at least twice a day.
