September planning

We are planning a trip in Sept for my oldest DDs 4th birthday. Her birthday is Sept 7th which is a friday... so we were thinking be there the 5th-7th. Which is Wed-Fri.
How do you think the crowds will be at this point?

Really low. Be prepared for a number of refurbs. I don't know what will be down, but that's a popular time to do refubs. Haunted Mansion WILL be down to add the holiday overlay. Fireworks and Fantasmic! will only show on that Friday, so be prepared for that.

The 5th and 6th especially should have really low crowds, but like Shannon said, there will be rides down during this time for refurbishment.

We're going that week too, mostly because with 2 little ones low crowds are more important to me than access to big rides. Touring Plans gives both parks around a 1/10 on the weekdays and 3-4/10 on Fri/Sat. They have higher crowds predicted for DCA so I assume they are factoring in CarsLand.

Just curious... about how many rides could be/are normally down for refurb at this time of year? like 5... or more?

We were just there twice and are going a few other times this year so its okay if we do miss out on a few rides. The main ride my DD cares about is Splash Mountain because she is just at the height requirement and has been dying to go on it!
