Any idea (guesses?) when the September AP hotel rates will be released? Just wondering if there was any rhyme or reason in the dates. The August 13 deadline has been around for a while.

I'd love to know this too. Also, are there usually blacked out dates/hotels for AP discounts? We'd love to do the Poly from 9/28-10/2 - wondering if they usually black out that weekend as it's the start of F&W? And it seems like the Poly hasn't been offered on the last couple of room discount offers :confused3

Looked at Mousesavers and their historical data says AP discounts for 8/3-9/27/08 came out 6/18/08, for 8/9-10/3/09 came out 6/24, and 8/15-10/2/10 came out 6/24, so I would hope some time around then.

I think sometimes they've come out early June too? I'm waiting for late Aug, oh, please :worship:

Seems it just keeps later and later. Here's hoping to early June because I need to get my planning on! LOL

I don't understand this. When I called in January to book my Sept. trip, the CM said I was entitled to an AP discount of 40% off my WL reservation. She applied it and it worked like a charm. I didn't ask for it or anything, she just volunteered it. Strange. We're new AP holders, so didn't know this was unusual.

Very unusual! I've been an AP holder for years, The AP discounts used to come out before the GP codes, but for some reason this year they are coming out later and later. I know for our April 30th-May 8th trip they didn't come out until less than a week before the 45 day mark. I had already used the GP code that came out last January to book both our May trip and an early Sept/early Oct trip. If the AP discount hadn't come out prior to the 45 day mark we would have had to pay the change fee.

When we were down there a couple of weeks ago I went ahead and booked Bounceback deals for Sept 10th-18th and Nov 26th-Dec 4th, (canceling the late Sept/early Oct trip I had booked back in Jan with the GP code), but am really hoping to change to a better AP rate when they come out. When I booked the Bounceback deals a couple of weeks ago I asked the CM if they had heard anything about AP discounts and she made the comment that the CMs are confused as to why they are coming out so late this year and said not to look for them until maybe early August, as that would be on par for the schedule they seem to be following this year. She said you couldn't go by past history like you normally can with discounts, at least not this year. It seems really odd that they are releasing the GP codes before the AP codes, because they should know that AP will book the GP codes just in case AP codes don't come out. Then when they do release AP codes, they'll have to go back in and switch all those ressies.:confused3

Anxiously waiting on AP discounts for Sept. also.

We are booked at the BCV for 9/28-10/2 using the late summer/early fall promo (40%). I tried to add another night at the end, and nothing is available. We too will change to AP rates if and when they come out.
Just booked our air on CO. Rates just keep going up. Paid $205 non-stop
from Newark NJ.

I think I had read that there were some AP pin codes floating around in the winter and I wonder if you had one of those attached to your name and thus the reason you were offered it back when you booked.

I'll bet you have the late summer/early fall discount that was 40%.
I booked the BCV on January 6, 2011 for our Sept 28, 2011 arrival and got
40% discount on rack rate. That discount is no longer available for booking, as I called today to add a day and was told nothing is available.
It was a public code. I never get pin codes. As posted, AP rates are not yet out for September 2011.

Yes, when I called I asked for the GP rate but she said it wasn't available but that I had an AP rate. I think they were both the same, so I guess it really doesn't matter how I got it. I'm just glad I got it! Sorry you couldn't add a day. Hopefully something will come out soon.

Great.. I missed the late summer early fall GP discount. :headache:
I hope the AP is as good. Looking for mid September.

In January there was a GP code released that covered lots of dates for the entire 2011. I know I used it to book two trips (May and Sept/Oct). For POFQ it was only like 25% off. When the AP discount came out for May, I switched to that. When I was down there a couple of weeks ago, the bounceback also beat the GP code I had booked for my fall trip, so I switched that one too. I would think that Disney is not through releasing codes yet. I'm still hoping for AP discounts that will beat my current bounceback deals. If so, I'll be switching again.:rotfl:
