Hi again - Now I've got started on here I seem to be posting up a storm!:mic:

We're planning to visit in early September NEXT year, to stay with a good friend who lives 15 minutes from DLR - yay! :yay:

BUT it really does depend on whether my work will consider allowing me to have 3 weeks off work right before the Rugby World Cup. (I'm an inbound travel agent so this could be a potentially busy time).

I've picked my dates and we will stay onsite for 5 nights from a Tuesday through Saturday - we want to visit right after Labor weekend, hoping that it won't be quite so busy. I realise that the shows probably won't be every night, but we can stay on a Friday to hopefully catch something.

My question is...if work won't agree to my annual leave request, when is another time to visit that tends to be like September? I really can't travel any time between October through March as that's when it's busy for me at work.

Thanks so much!

Considering the months you excluded due to work and the ones, I assume, you're excluding for being during the busy time, you're really only left with April, May, and, as you mentioned, September. With that in mind, May is likely the better bet just for the chance of better weather.

And I think both Fridays and Saturdays should have all the shows available. Check the DL calendar for current details. Unfortunately, it doesn't list that far in advance, but you can see May.

If you can't go in September, I would go in May. We have been in both months, and the crowd levels are similar (not empty, but low) as long as you avoid holidays. If you go in May, I would guess earlier rather than later in the month would be better, as long as you are away from Spring Break. If I remember correctly, the later we have gone in May, the more groups of Junior Highers we have run into. I don't mind Junior High kids, will have one in a few years, but a group of them can really ruin the Haunted Mansion IMHO!
