I am trying to plan a trip back to WDW for later in the year in 2014. I need that long to save up!!!! :lmao: We have done middle September before and it seemed still really hot. So I was thinking later in the year. Which is better...Oct for Halloween? (Have done MNSSHP before) Nov for the weather or Early December. We are from Northern Illinois so cold doesn't bother us, but my DH really Hates :furious: humidity!!! Planning it early enough so we can take any time off he needs without a problem. Our DS will be in Kindergarden but we can do any "work" that he needs to have done before we go. Just curious when would be the most relaxing without huge crowds at the parks. TIA!!!!!:goodvibes

If you went the second week of November, you could attend the Christmas Party at MK. We went at that time three years ago and the weather was wonderful! The parks weren't very crowded even though it was Veterans' Day. The only thing is that the resorts may not have their decorations up.

If you can do the first week of December, the weather should be great and the parks shouldn't be crowded. I'll be there this year from 12/4 - 12/14 and can report on the weather and crowds while I am there!

We've been in Sept twice the first time the weather was hot second time it rained a lot but still was hot out, we've also been the first and second wk in Dec and hated it, the temp never got above 50 we had frost every night thankfully being from VT we were smart enough to bring our winter coats and gloves;0) so this yr were trying Nov hoping for warm weather!

I'd recommend either November or the first week of December. It's important to realize that October can still be really, really hot. I've done six October trips and some have been just great weather-wise, but two were still extremely hot and humid.

Pllus October is still smack in the middle of hurricane season. I went t WDW in 2005 just in time for Hurricane Wilma!

We love first couple weeks in November for light crowds and great weather. Low humidity, lower to mid 70s for temps. Also happens to coincide with DS9 birthday on Nov 7. Going for our third trip on his birthday. Unfortunately for us, DD5's birthday is in March when the cost and crowds are much higher!

I planned my trip over a year ago and we went with the week before Thanksgiving. We chose this week because the crowds are smaller, Christmas decorations are up and the weather is cool. We decided are small kids do no do a lot the week before Thanksgiving (mostly parties) in school so we were willing to take them out for the week.

We just got back from a trip in early Sept. Temps were still high and very humid. We've done late October trips, and the weather has been nicer, but more crowded than Sept, especially closer to Halloween.

Our best trip, weather and crowd-wise, has been in November, the week or so before Thanksgiving (crowds pick up that Tuesday or Wednesday before, at least they did at our Value Resort).

My family is a big fan of the week after Thanksgiving. Crowds are light(er) and the Christmas decorations and events have started.

I live here about 80 miles west of WDW and normally the humidity doesn't break until the last week of Oct. It does get drier (like this week is forecasted for) but not as dry as others would like it.

Nov is good but the first week of Dec is usually very safe for non-humid mild weather. Although, I've had to have my AC on here on Thanksgiving day. ;)

That you for your input! I'm going the week of Veteran's Day and I was worried about the crowds and weather. This post makes me feel much better! princess:

Thank you all so much!!!! We are thinking first two weeks of November!!! So excited!!! Even if we do have to wait till 2014 to get there!!! I'm a little worried about Veteran's Day and crowds at the parks. We plan on 12 days so maybe we will use those days as pool days!!!!:cool1: Just so excited to take my 4 year old to see the mouse!!!!

We typically go the last 2 weeks PRIOR to Thanksgiving. The last week especially. Parks are usually much less crowded and the weather is nice. Not excruciatingly hot and not too cold either.

I think Jersey week is always around election day. We found it very crowded last year. Our kids have off 11/4 and 11/5 this year (Jersey week). We are doing 3 nights.

I would recommend the 1st week in Dec. Less crowded and Christmas decorations (if you want to see them).
