September/October 2013 check in

Yay for party tickets!!!

We are hoping to go to Party on 11th October. .. Our last night in the US.

We have changed our plans somewhat...

Flight Sept 20 1.05pm Qantas out of Sydney.
Stay in LA two nights.. 21st Sept day at DCA... see Cars land that we missed last time.
Fly to NY - stay 4 nights... (wish it was longer)
Train to Washington - stay 2 nights
Fly to Orlando - stay 2 nights at Universal.. visit IOA and US.
Move to Art of Animation Nemo room for 10 nights... lots of park time and a one day NASA excursion.. we have ADRs @ Ohana Breakfast, HDDR, PrimeTime and Akershus
Fly back to LA - stay at Hojos in Anaheim 2 nights
Halloween Party DL 11th Oct.. close the park out!
Fly home 12th Oc 11.50PM :(

We will be getting an annual pass again and hoping to get the discount on the party but the last night for discounts is the 24 (if memory serves) so that is out now we are aiming for Nov 1. We went last year to the last night (well we had tickets to another night and half way through night I ended up in hospital so they gave us free tickets) and the cast were practically begging us to take the candy to get rid of it...never ate it all but was fun night! lol

59 sleeps to go its coming up really fast :)

so just spent 42 mins on the phone this morning at 1.30am with DVC member services (lovely ladies) and changed one of my BWV studio nights to a 1 bedroom BWV night...so thats 6 nights 1 bedroom BWV, and 1 night studio BWV.
was checking availability and up it popped..:thumbsup2

so cruise #2 gets paid off today (ouch dang aud and I'm so so sorry visa)......then in 7 weeks I get my USD$$, in 8 weeks I do ESTA, then in 8.5 weeks I do AA 30 day membership.....

exciting days indeed people.....

61 days to go......:rolleyes1

I love it when I see other people spend money on holiday things as well. Makes me feel like I'm almost normal in my spending patterns. :thumbsup2

Aside from the last 2 days in LA, I'm nearly done with all my pre-trip plans. Just need to continue to convert AUD to USD over the last 2 months now. And check what travel toiletries/medication I need to take with me.

Yay for everyone getting the last parts of their holiday sorted.

Tomorrow will be my 10 week countdown, and today marks 75 days until the cruise. Woohoo!

Some of you might remember me mentioning how I was nervous about handing over the reigns of my cruise booking to my husband who has, up until now, not booked a single part of this trip (or any trip we've been on for that matter).

Well about 4 hours ago, at exactly 1 minute past midnight EST, I was trapped in a work meeting while my husband was busily making all the bookings I had very explicitly requested of him.

I am pleased to announce that my husband is awesome!

He got Palo Brunch on our first choice of days.

He got the exact Shore Excursion I wanted
http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/c...in-islands/st-john-barefoot-sail-and-snorkel/

And he got the second earliest Port Arrival time (earliest was already booked out).

Why did I ever doubt him...

Great news Wanderlust :cheer2:

We're busily trying to pay off all of our accommodation before the dollar drops even further. We had deposits paid for, but dh decided in his 'wisdom' not to do this while the australian dollar was sitting around $1.05, or even when it dropped to 96/7c, he only decided that this was important last week. It's still massively better value than when we went in 98/9. It's annoying me because we had the money sitting in the bank, and I said that we should change it, but he was reluctant and kept on thinking that the dollar would rebound. Can't do anything about that now though. But, so help me God if he whinges about my spending while we're away, I will bop him over the head :rotfl2: (not really)

We're at
51 days until we fly out
. Only 2 more sleeps until we're in the 40s...it will be here before we know it. I have to start packing lists soon, because once school goes back I'll be madly busy trying to get things organised for my long service leave and back to the chaos of being my kids' activity chauffeur.

Ye of little faith! :lmao:

So glad you have an awesome husband who listens to your instructions. :thumbsup2

Well done to Mr Wanderlust!

60 days for us. Got my 28 degrees MasterCard today as our backup spending money and to use as car hire/hotel holds.

Time to start organizing the couple of character meals we want to do and sort out what day to do the WIWFT.

40 days left of work :). I think I can handle that. Just.
