September/October 2013 check in

Anyone who was waiting for the Disneyland Halloween party dates - they have been released! Check out the parks blog, or main DLR thread on the DIS. So glad they are out and I can start planning our days more!! Slightly different dates than what I expected, but will work better for our plans I think!

:rotfl2: he sounds like my dd2. I'm dreading her behaviour over there. She can't even behave on a trip to the supermarket. We'll definitely need some down time for her because the more tired she is, the more irritable she gets (which means the more stressed and grumpy I get). Anyway, I'm going in with fairly low expectations and maybe she'll surprise me. :rotfl:

Did your ESTAs come through?

Well the 1st of July means that I can finally say that we leave next month :cheer2: It might be at the very end of next month, but it's still next month;)

DS3 is 2.5 and a runner. He's not naughty, in fact he's quite a well behaved little guy, he just. can't. sit. still! Or stand still. He's an adventurer and explorer. Hence the reason we bought him a leash!

Our ESTAs have now gone through :cool1:

Hooray for going NEXT MONTH!!! :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Thanks for that! As expected, the first one is a week after we leave :( Would have been fun to go though.

We were having fun saying this all day yesterday too :)

There's something extra special when you get to 'next month' and then 'this month'! :thumbsup2 Makes it that little bit more real :goodvibes

I've just changed our seat assignments for the flight home. Moved us to the other side of the plane so we could book the Skycouch and then the two seats in the centre aisle. The reason? The other end seat in the centre seats has already been booked so I'm hoping nobody will want that one, lonely seat squished between two strangers. Probably wishful thinking, but I'm willing to give it a go! :goodvibes

:jumping1: So excited. All the stuff released before this info said that the date of the first party would be the 30th Sept (the day we fly out), but now it's the 27th, which coincidentally happens to be dd's 9th birthday. Now we just have to wait until the 15th to hopefully get tickets.

That's awesome! I'm so happy for you :) I don't think you'll have trouble getting tickets, I think it's only Halloween that tickets become hard to get for.

I was just coming in to let everyone know about these dates - and knew you'd be happy Sare! The party will be on at the same time as the AFL Grand Final though, but I don't think we Collingwood supporters will have to worry about that this year unfortunately! We will be going to the party on October 1st (DH is a Hawks supporter so will probably want to watch the GF!) and will be staying at GCH by then so it will be very convenient.

Then your ds3 is nothing like my dd2, who is completely egocentric (when do they grow out of the the ME, ME, ME stage?) and whiney. But conversely can be quite loving and kind. We never know what child we will get on any given day :crazy2:

Good luck with the seats. We've Pre-booked ours too, but we're flying qantas so no skycouch. I have dd1 and ds sitting with me and dh and dd2 are behind us (yep, intentionally separated from her siblings in the hope that she will create as little fuss as possible on the plane).

I forgot about the time difference. Bummed that I will miss the GF, but unless some miracle change of form happens over the next 10 or so weeks, I'm with you in thinking that the Pies won't be there. Plus I can't say that I want to see the Hawks win another flag...not a fan of them at all.

I believe at about age 24 they finally grow out of it...:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I hope the separating plan works and the flight isn't too bad. That's one of my biggest worries too. Small, confined space - yet, lots of interesting things to explore ::yes:: :sad2: We might have to tie DS2 down!

Never mind - it'll be another red and white year ;):thumbsup2 I miss the Semis and Prelims (I think), but home in time for the big one. Won't be going this year though - can't afford another GF trip!

 it's exciting isn't it I am happy that the first party is not the 30th that's our arrival date back at DL and it will be much easier going to the party on the 1st we are thinking of doing 2 party's if only the NBA would release the rest of the preseason game dates I could decide :scratchin

paid off first cruise..:cool1: all i need to do is pay off 2nd next week and we are DONE!!!!!! re $$$$$$......

waiting...waiting....:firefight

This is so funny- we had to schedule our entire trip so we were back for the grand final! We arrive back the day before!!! Poor DH will miss all the finals games though and looks like the Hawks are going to have a fair crack at it! I can just see us being dragged into every sports bar!

AustrianKaren, we recently paid the balance of our entire trip - such a great feeling seeing the words 'Paid in full' at the end of each item :)

9 weeks today - 2 months tomorrow :scared1: For some reason two months sounds a LOT closer than 9 weeks :confused3:scratchin

I've swung back to the freaking out side of the pendulum now, next week I'll probably be back to excited :rolleyes2::yes:: The dropping dollar is reducing all our spending money by around 10% so that's not cool :( We might have to drop one of the character meals because the cost gets a bit high x4 (thankfully DS3 is still free) especially when I'm not sure that any of them will even eat!

Grand final day is our lost day. As always hoping for Collingwood not to be there.

Paid wdw and cruise today and poked a few tours in New York and Washington. Also ordered my photo pass. Feeling a bit excited. Just have to pay New York accomm and I'm done.
